Greggs — Restaurant in Wigan

I love Greggs but have to say my experience in this store was a terrible one. On my way in I heard a woman complaining "what's wrong with some people!!?" Quickly I picked up on the negative atmosphere entering the store. The majority of the staff behind the counter where extreemly stressed out and snappy with the customers!. On my way out after, what I thought to be a successful payment. The lady who served me started screaming excuse me! In an extreemly aggressive tone! I replied " you don't need to screem love" her reply "well I shouted you three times!!!" Which was a slight exaggeration. She spoke really fast and forcfully, almost like she wanted to fight me in store in front if all the customers. Shocked by her unpleasant customer service skills, I replied "you don't need to take your stresses out on the customers, you've already upset people on the way out of the store!" Following this I quickly turned to exit and accidentally hit my hip on one of the display counters. Immediately the staff began to laugh at my accidental encounter!.. upon leaving the store she shouted "Have a nice day! Hope you have a really nice day sir" the sarcasm was easily picked up on.

Really do not feel comfortable returning to the store, it ruined part of my day for a good hour or two! But then I quickly...

Usually this place is outstanding on everything they do. However today’s visit was not so. Certain member of staff needs serious customer service retraining !!!! As 2 disabled people we value the help and assistance from staff. Called in for lunch today to be served by James - he forgot part of our order, slammed 2 caramel donuts into a paper bag so that the tops stuck to the bag, no help whatsoever!!!! Left to pack our own food into a “5p carrier” while he went to serve on another till. He obviously could see us struggling but no help WHATSOEVER !!!!!!!! so thank you very much…… NOT !!!!!!!!! Obviously he doesn’t value the custom of disabled people. If he’s serving again when we go, we will go elsewhere.

Normally theres a lady in there who can’t do enough to help, didn’t get her name but it’s a pleasure going in when she’s serving. She gets the full five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ but sorry, today you wouldn’t even get 1 !!!

Food good, although the contents on the all day breakfast sandwich seemed to be more in the bag than on the sandwich. Served by an older lady, who shouted at all the customers to queue at the left side - maybe put a clear sign up if this is the case. Said lady proceeded to serve us - she didn’t make eye contact or appear to have any basic manners - felt my please and thank you’s were wasted on her but that’s how I’ve been brought up - manners cost nothing. I get people can have a bad day but there’s a few reviews commenting on, what seems to be, the same person. After passing me the last item of my order she just turned away and walked off - no thanks or...
