It was my first time visiting this place last weekend on a very sunny afternoon. On arrival we found a table and sat down. A staff member cleaned our table and presented us with the menus. I was only after a nice Latte and I also chose scones with butter, jam and clotted cream. The order arrived quickly. The latte was very nice and the temperature was just right! As you will see in the picture there were 2 small scones and pots of cream/jam/butter. The scones where warm and also homemade which is a big plus ➕️ in my book. The scones and accompanying jam/cream/butter where very nice. But I do have a Bit of a niggle. The scones where just too small! I would prefer one big scone or even too slightly larger ones. One other thing I would say is that the interior of the eatery is very drab and boring. A light grey all over with a couple of mirrors and a couple of chandeliers, It really needs some life...
Read moreI absolutely love Isabelle’s. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There is a great atmosphere and the food is to die for! The afternoon tea is wonderful and beautifully served, and includes a selection of delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones with jam and cream, and lovely loose leaf tea. Read moreHere about 4pm, the time I would have thought it would be quiet, shoppers gone home etc..... Not to be, was still quite busy with tables inside and outside mostly full. We only had coffee and cake, the cakes I believe are made by one of the staff, excellent... the scones have a bit of a crunch from the base, not something you find with a mass produced scone.
