Dissappointing experience with rude manager and drinks are a bit overpriced. There were only 2 drinks on draught due to covid - i can understand this, but mine had weird brown bits stuck inside the glass. When i asked for a fresh pint, there was still a brown blob in the fresh one, so either they just poured it into a new glass from the old one, or the pipes were dirty. John smiths didnt have any head and just tasted weird. Further, the card machine didnt work and we kept having to go in and out of the pub trying to pay because their machine was not working properly. The manager had a moan at me because i was standing at the bar asking for something, yeah i know social distancing is an issue nowadays but most other pubs wont do this. She also seemed to get frustrated when i was asking for the prices even though they had no drinks menu set up. No perspex screens between tables or at the bar either -...

Pub has recently reopened under new management. Wow - what a difference!!! - Just had a burger, I've been really blessed to eat out at some amazing places for business and leisure but I am actually struggling to recall a better burger I have ever eaten - and this is my local! My wife and I had Dinner Thursday 27th August. My starter was halloumi fries with a nice dipping source and a salad. We both ordered the rib eye steaks medium. The chef - James came out to ask us exactly how we would want our steaks cooked and we said pink with no blood. The steaks were cooked to perfection and washed down with a bottle of red wine.
