I was taken to K Tease Cakes by a friend who raved positively about the place. Upon entering the tea room I was struck by how the owner had taken a new build shop and personalised it to show off a sense of character often found lacking in similar modern establishments. At the counter I was faced by a plethora of cakes with something for everyone, from vegans and gLuten free to someone like myself who will happily eat anything. I tried the millionaire's shortbread which was tasty without being sickly. My friend tried a raspberry and chilli cake which she shared a lot piece with me, another tasty cake that left a pleasant tingling sensation on the tongue afterwards. I went back another day and had the cooked breakfast. My friend had the vegetarian option, featuring vegetarian sausages and Halloumi, whilst I tried the traditional English breakfast with bacon and sausages. I also had scrambled egg which was seasoned perfectly instea of being bland. Breakfast came with toast. No complaints on the breakfast or the cakes. K Tease Cakes also has a large selection of drinks. I've enjoyed Rooibos tea, orange hot chocolate made with a Terry's Chocolate orange and Coca Cola from a glass bottle. I can see why my mate keeps taking her friends and colleagues to K Tease Cakes, it's a hidden gem. Definitely an independent coffee shop that you should go out of...
Read moreToday, after visiting Wolverhampton for the first time in years, I went to this place where I had arranged to meet some friends for a catch up. I needed to quickly use the facilities however upon entering, I was screamed at by a staff member who followed me to the toilet (there were seated customers) and screamed at me that it was ânot a public toiletâ. Had she had the common decency to first ask if I was planning to stay I could have let her know that my intention was to order once I had been to the toilet. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and so unprofessional. If I ever visit Wolverhampton again I will most definitely avoid this place. I strongly suggest customer service training for this (and I use this term very loosely) waitress.
Unfortunately in addition to rudeness this response just clarified the unprofessionalism of your establishment. The worst part is the facilities were in poor condition so I deeply regret entering this place in general. No worries though as I found a much nicer cafe so...
Read moreAppalling service, I didnât even touch the coffee because of the way the waitress spoke to me in front of my group of 8 matesâŚ. She kept shouting at me âwhere should I put the coffee?â I said on the table please. She got even more angry and said âI canât because itâs very hotâ although they have dozens of coasters. ⌠Extremely rude and abrasive, very unprofessional. The cakes were looking like leftovers, sandwiches were stale. Teaspoons were dirty and my 2 plates had brown marks on them. The table was so sticky that coasters were stuck onto the filthy table. That is extremely alarming considering that they advertise 5 for hygiene standard. How is that possible? Does the 5 rating even mean anything anymore or itâs just a number? Will avoid this place like the plague. P. S. She was supposed to set a table for 11 people max. Instead, she thought it was a good idea to split the group in 2 and sit us at different tables so as you can imagine how some of us felt left out and not part...
