Visiting the area for work and ventured into a few pubs which were very disappointing. Spotted the Wheatsheaf with lovely outside decor and looked well kept. Very friendly staff, nice welcoming atmosphere. Small inside but spotlessly clean and a good selection of drinks available. Bar person was really nice and served us in less than a minute. Drinks served promptly, glasses immaculate, cheap prices compared to previous pubs we went in. Tables had signage for drinks Promos and all clean and tidy. Asked if there was a smoking area, and directed clearly to the outdoor area. Thank you for having us and keep up...

Read moreI'll be honest and say that I was very dubious of entering as it gave me a sense of 'regulars/hooligans' pub which put me off but I couldn't be more wrong!! What a lovely pub and I cannot fault them. All the staff were so chatty, helpful and could not do more for you when entering the building and making sure you were happy and were well looked after. The regulars were so down to earth and always came over to make sure you were comfortable and we're ok. I got made to feel i was part of the family and have been going there for years. What a brilliant place that we almost walked straight past. Will definitely definitely go back in when I head that way in a...
