Monsoon Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

I am so disappointed to have to give this 1 star as the food was really good. The reason for 1 star is that we felt we were ripped off. We went on Sunday when they offer a deal to include starter, main course and side. HOWEVER, if you don't have the starter, they charge you more! We were in a bit of a rush so didn't have time for the starter. Therefore when the bill came, we had been charged £15 extra than if we would have had the "Special". We complained and the waiter said "I did ask you if you wanted starters". I would expect to be asked this as I was in a restaurant! It would be like going into a pub and being asked if I wanted a drink! They cooked us less food than if we had the offer and yet charged us £15 more for it! Disgusted is not the word! We definitely won't be returning here...

So frustrating. Monsoon started out so well. Flavours and cuison was on point, ordering was a frictionless process with recognition of number used to call cutting out the need to give address.

Lately however, it all seems to be a bit chaotic. Phone to place an order, can we call you back - which they did. May I pay by card - no call back (fortunately we had cash to pay). Last straw for me today was the food was delivered much later than we were led to expect. The food was near cold, some parts burnt, others not cooked with the previous attention to detail.

Happy to give another try if we can see that Monsoon has addressed these issues, and...
