We fancied a nice walk along a canal and visited a nature reserve at the same time. You do need some boots as in places it's muddy. Especially along the brook, which sits in front of the canal, but the canal side is covered in a fine dark grey gravel, which is easy to walk and so calming, considering where it is. You park at the carpark which was an old railway, and can keep to one side or cross over at intervals along the path.
On a nice Sunday afternoon it was pretty quiet with the exception of a few very friendly dog walkers. You can walk as far ir as little as you want. The carpark is behind the wine shop but not where the sat nav or google maps tries to take you. It's a popular walk with dog owners, yet there are very few bins of any description, and this is evidenced by the amount of filled poo bags which presumably owners have got fed up of carrying. It's a shame to see the walk littered with them, and of course they are not biodegradable so harmful to the environment as well. Bins...
