It was my first experience at Cafe Cadena last night. I’d always wanted to go, so was looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately the experience went down hill as soon as we were queuing to enter. My partner had booked a table for the two of us, when queuing it was clear that the booking hadn’t been processed as they asked us for our name 4 times by different staff members. The people behind us had the same issue. Once they had cleared a table for us, we were taken to a table upstairs where the waiter apologised for the wait. He then continued by making jokes about why the tables were clear as “People steal everything so we do not leave decoration on tables. Ignore the food on our list, as we just have pizza.” When delivered, the pizza looked like the cheapest pizza chosen from a frozen aisle. Looking around, we were shocked to see multiple staff members not wearing face masks. Those who were wearing them; their masks were either under their noses or around their necks. The manager was walking around without one and the waitress who served everybody in the room was waking around with the mask on her neck, sitting down at the tables to chat to customers. When coming to our table, she stood very close to us and when I made it clear I was uncomfortable, she moved the mask over her mouth leaving her nose exposed. The bar tender also was seen going to tables to chat her friends without her mask. Whilst going to the toilet, I couldn’t believe that during these times there was NO handwash. Just hand lotion by the sink. My partner and myself left early, feeling disappointed and beyond all unsafe. We could not believe, especially during a pandemic, that overall the staff showed a lack of care or safety for their customers. However, it ought to be noted that the security team outside were kind and accommodating whilst we initially arrived and waited...

I recently attended Cafe Cadena with a group of eight for their 'Bottomless Brunch,' and unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations.
While the venue itself is nice, and we appreciated the lively atmosphere created by seating multiple groups upstairs, our experience was marred by several significant issues. We were asked to pre-order our food, which we assumed would streamline the process and ensure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
To start, one of the dishes we ordered was unavailable, and we were left with three plates missing from our order. This led to considerable confusion, as one of our party didn’t receive their food until 45 minutes after everyone else had been served. This is simply unacceptable, especially for a pre-ordered meals.
Additionally, the portion sizes and quality of the food were disappointing. The tapas plates were tiny, and even the main dishes left much to be desired in terms of substance. Given that the Bottomless Brunch costs £35 per person for just 90 minutes, the overall value felt excessive considering the issues we encountered.
When we brought these concerns to the management, their response was less than satisfactory. We were told they needed to check the tills and CCTV, and that we should email them the next day for a resolution on Monday. This lack of immediacy in addressing our complaints showcased a horrific level of customer service that only added to our frustration.
Overall, I cannot recommend Cafe Cadena for brunch, and I certainly wouldn’t pay for this experience again. There are better options out there that offer both quality food...
Read moreMe and my friends booked our tradition Christmas bottemless brunch here, we have never been so disappointed. Firstly, they refuse to get you another drink until everyone else has finished their drink, so you are sat there waiting for everyone to finish before you can order another! Secondly, we booked our food a week in advance.. after around 30 minutes after we told them we were ready for our food to be served they then tell us half of what we ordered wasn’t available and half of our food didn’t even come out to us. We complained to the manager who sat and argued with us for around 45 minutes refusing to do anything about it until Monday, saying they needed to check cctv and they were “too busy” to do anything about it. I have never been to a bar that is so unprofessional with handling a situation. Worst £300 we have ever spent. Would not recommend this to place to anyone! We advice anyone reading this to go somewhere where they value their customers.. this place just want to take your money! Avoid...
