Impasto — Restaurant in Worcester

Partner wanted Pizza on day trip out in Worcester and when the boy wants pizza you just go with it. We had planned to walk up to Pizza Express but just passing here it caught my eye.

They had a deal on too, all Pizza's were £10 each before 7pm that day.

We were seated downstairs, clean, cosy and by the end another bonus, NO Phone Signal. No internet or messing around on our phones, so we actually had a really nice chat over a late lunch. I really liked that.

Anyway the food was amazing. The service was a little slow, but again it gave us a chance to chat and pass the time. Places like Pizza Express are just going to churn you out as soon as possible and I think Impasto was a like a hard reset on that "fast paced, always connected" attitude.

Also service was very attentive. Partner had ordered chicken pizza and I'd gone with a veggie option. He asked for Truffle Loaded Fries as a separate side with a different waiter and wanted to make sure they were veggie (he isn't a vegetarian but was worried they had ham / pork in them which he doesn't eat). The waiter confirmed they were.

5 minutes later the original waitress came rushing down and wanted to know why he had been asking about them being veggie and was he aware he'd ordered a chicken pizza. Obviously all was in hand and correct, but I thought it was excellent attention to detail and trying to ward off any potential problems when the meal came. So yes very impressed and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an authentic Italian restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm and welcoming atmosphere immediately put me at ease, and I felt like I had been transported to a charming little trattoria in Naples.

But the real star of the show was the pizza. Made in the traditional Neapolitan style, it was simply outstanding. The crust was perfectly crisp and chewy, with just the right amount of char. The sauce was tangy and bright, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Every bite was a joy, and I found myself savoring each one with relish.

All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. The ambiance, the food, and the service were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings. 10/10! You won’t be disappointed with the food or atmosphere. Honestly one of the best Italian meals we’ve had outside of Italy. Delicious trio of dips – we didn’t expect much as we just thought would be flavoured Hummus, but they were incredible. Really nice cocktails. Wide selection of home made pizza and pasta. Two of us had the Ragu special it was stunning. One had the pizza really delicious freshly stretched though that was prepared behind us. The star of the show was the spinach and ricotta tortellin. A super common dish, but this was exceptional really delicious fillings; rich sauce with mushroom and pancetta. A few of us tried/stole of someone’s plate and it will definitely be a go to dish next time. We’re really excited to head back here. Great atmosphere, all of the staff genuinely loved being there.
