Evesham has many Indian restaurants but Saffron Lounge has to be one of the best. The staff are always friendly and accommodating for you, even if you turn up without a booking they will try their best to look after you (although booking is recommended on weekends). The menu has a wide range of dishes, and is very friendly to vegetarians. All the food is very affordable and generous in portion sizes, plus it’s bring your own booze so you can buy cheap wine or whatever you fancy beforehand with no premium pricing!! Ordered takeaway, tropical masala. Menu said lamb, chicken & king prawn but I didn't realise it literally meant ONE king prawn, and that was in its shell ! In a thick sauce! Nearly choked on it. We were trying to find somewhere that could serve us pre the new 10 pm curfew and Saffron managed to get our food out to us in record time leaving us 20 minutes to get to eat. The food was really really nice: onion bhaji, king prawn puree, king prawn burying, lamb curry and rice plus naan and poppadums.
