We love this place, and go reasonably frequently, it has such a relaxed and chilled atmosphere and a cosy ambience with the lighting and decor and lit candles on the table. Also in a really good location in the town square. Super dog friendly with even a doggy menu where you can order sausages or bacon etc for your hungry hound or pooch. Help yourself fresh water and bowls provided too, as well as dog biscuits free of charge. The staff are lovely - friendly, welcoming, polite, professional and always accommodating when you want to go slightly off menu. The quality of the food, both in flavour and presentation is consistently high and we have never had a bad experience here either with the food or service. The kitchen staff work hard beavering away in the background to produce tasty and fresh food and we never have to wait long for it to be delivered either. Last night (Sat night) we visited and it was exceptionally good. The bacon cheese burger I had was packed with flavour, particularly good last night. And I requested a small side salad with my burger instead of coleslaw and without any fuss whatsoever that's what I got - but it was a lovely tasting little salad, really fresh with a lovely fresh tasting slightly zesty dressing, not out of a bottle, or dry like a lot of places serve (which I can never understand). The margueritas were slightly disappointing in as much as they weren't served in a proper cocktail glass and there was no salt and too much ice, but it was still good to see margueritas on the menu. It's the sort of place where you can dress up or dress down and everyone still feels comfortable and no one's out of place. They've certainly hit on a winning formula - staff morale appears high and I definitely think the secret to their success is not only the good food (reasonably priced also considering prices have sky-rocketed everywhere) and atmosphere but definitely the staff. Thank you to all of you for your continued super service, it is very much...
Read moreOrto Lounge is a true gem in the heart of Evesham. It stands head and shoulders above the rest, offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere that’s hard to come by these days. The decor is thoughtfully done stylish yet comfortable, with a touch of charm that makes you want to linger a little longer.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in their work. Whether you’re popping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a quick drink, you’re made to feel right at home. I especially enjoy stopping by for breakfast whenever I’m in the area it’s become something of a ritual.
My go-to is the full English breakfast: proper sausages, crispy bacon, well-cooked eggs (poached for me), beans, grilled tomato, toast, and mushrooms if they’ve got them. No faffing about just a solid breakfast that sets you up for the day. If I’m in a rush, I’ll grab a sausage or bacon bap - simple, filling, and always done right. I’ve also tried their smashed avocado with poached eggs, and I must say, it’s a surprisingly good lighter option when I’m feeling virtuous - or under doctor’s orders.
One of the biggest pluses for me is that I can bring my dogs along. It’s always appreciated when a place makes space for four-legged companions - it says a lot about their attitude.
Now, I must confess I’m not overly fond of the mobile ordering system - call me old-fashioned, but I prefer a good chat at the till. Thankfully, they still offer that option, which is a relief for those of us who value a bit of human interaction with our hash browns.
In short, Orto Lounge is a lovely spot, a real credit to the town. A shame Evesham itself is in such a sorry state - but that’s a tale for...
Read moreIf you have sensory issues this isn't a great place to come as it is very noisy.
It is an open shabby chic style of dining with very little soft furnishings and plants to dampen noise. It felt like someone was constantly shouting whilst shaking a tin of nails and I found it very stressful almost to the point where I thought I would need to leave.
All I could hear was the sound of other people and lots of clattering like in a staff canteen or an old service station restaurant. I could not focus on any one sound and if anyone my party of 3 spoke it got mixed up in the other noises that I did not know what was being said.
It was quiz night which was good, not that we took part but it gave me something to focus on and distract me from the ambient noise which I found overwhelming.
The waiting staff were really good but I was so disappointed with the kitchen.
The Gluten Free meal was originally prepared incorrectly with a regular bun. Everyone else had a meal but the GF one had to be re-cooked. Everyone else's meals were eaten and cleared before the GF meal came out. When it did the burger itself was so burnt it was crunchy. Not wanting to wait for another meal we just move onto desserts. Fortunately the meal was discounted from the bill but it...
