I wrote a review on Tripadvisor of my experience at this establishment and instead of trying to do better, they attacked me saying that I "am never happy wherever I go". which is simply not true as I have provided positive reviews on a number of establishments including another local cafe to which I gave five stars.. I went to this tea room despite being advised by two locals and a friend who visited Pershore, not to go there. I went with an open mind as I was trying to find places to have coffee in Pershore during my stay here. . It turned out to be a poor experience. A man served me at the counter. He was abrupt and unfriendly. The panini that I ordered was poorly prepared - it was mushy and damp. The contents were horrible. It came with a side of crisps and a tiny helping of coleslaw. Why not make some fresh salad? The coffee was cold and weak. To be frank it was undrinkable. Apparently, the excuse for the poor coffee is that they are a tearoom. Given the level of friendliness at this place, I did not wish to complain on the spot as I knew it would not be well received and it could be unpleasant. My concern was proven completely by their reply on Tripadvisor - they completely denied it and put it down to my personality - which is both a nonsense and inappropriate. I should not be the subject of a review as it is not I that am charging people for food and service. I paid and left politely with the intention of...

The food and service here is usually wonderful, but on a recent visit we observed one of the staff harassing another customer over the music volume.

The music was very loud, located next to the other customers table (it was too busy for them to move) and they were ignored when they asked for it to be turned down. When the customer finally did it themselves, after which one of the staff came over and requested that they not touch it, and promptly turned the volume back up.

When the volume turned down again without the other customer tampering it with the same staff member came over and was rude and borderline verbally abusive, even when we tried to intervene on the customers behalf (we had been watching - they had not touched the system).

It happened again and the staff member was even worse, and at no point even acknowledged the fact that the customer had asked for the volume to be turned down in the first place.

Absolutely disgraceful display from the staff, and I would have serious reservations about coming here for being on the recieving end of a staff...

Myself and 2 friends enjoyed a superb afternoon tea at SPT on Friday April 4th 2025. We all thought the experience was excellent when compared with other local afternoon tea venues we have visited recently, for a number of reasons. The service was first class and the food was of the highest standrard, beautiful sandwiches with just the right amount of filling, and a lovely sausage roll. The cakes were all home-made, they both looked and tasted amazing (not always the case we have found where often cakes look amazing, but taste mediocre). There was a good choice of teas and coffees, all bottomless. The tea room itself is bright and cheerful, and we enjoyed our tea from bone china crockery on a tablecloth, as it should be done. We even met the owner who does all the baking on site, who came and sat with us to chat for awhile to share her story. She is clearly very passionate about her business, and knows how to serve the perfect afetrnoon tea and all for a bargain price. Top marks from us and thank you for giving us such a...

Nice decor but sadly met with a sour face behind the counter, lady came across like she didn't want to be there. Don't come here if you want barista style coffee. I asked for a flat white and this is what I got (see pic). In regards to response from owner: Oh, I see — so the issue was low milk, not that this is how you normally serve a flat white. Good to know! I just assumed that was your version of the drink. Silly me for not realising there was a milk emergency behind the scenes. As for mentioning that I should have brought it up at the time — hard to imagine doing that when the staff member was so warm and welcoming… oh wait, no, they were completely miserable. Not exactly the kind of vibe that encourages feedback. And thanks for reminding me how many 5-star reviews you’ve had. I guess my experience doesn’t really count since others had a nice time.

I called in today, at 4pm on a wet miserable Friday in April. Taylor makes this a very special tea room. Whilst Lydia quietly and competently makes every item ordered arrive as it should and on time. I noticed and overheard the friendly conversations and realised that the 8 people in there when I was, and their three small dogs, were all regulars. There was gentle conversation between Taylor and everyone, with sausage or chicken treats for each dog. I’m only sorry that I’ve not given myself the treat of visiting before. I chose apple strudel tea, managing to get three cups from a good sized teapot and a small mini egg brownie. I think all the cakes are made beautifully by Taylor’s Mum.

First time visit. Great menu. We enjoyed our lunch especially the crab claw sandwich. Generous fillings and presented well. The tea was far too strong for our liking and we wanted to ask for a pot of water, unfortunately no member of staff came over. No one even glanced at us. Upon leaving we were ignored. We left our drinks almost untouched. Sadly this spoilt our experience in this otherwise lovely tea room.
