Really nice little pub with good value food. We popped in for a Sunday roast just as they opened. The staff were very welcoming and we settled for a couple of drinks while we waited for the kitchen to open. As we did a band set up and started playing various acoustic tracks which was great. I opted for the soup of the day that was curried parsnips and delicious. I'd have preferred brown bread not white though. The prawn cocktail starter looked great too, a nice twist on a classic. Then I had the pork which was again delicious although I was not sure about the stuffing and there could have been more veg. My friends corrupted me into following up with a cheesecake which did not let me down, it was fantastic. A note for allergy sufferers, I was with 2 people who between them are allergic to pretty much everything. The staff were great and made sure nothing dangerous arrived on their plates. They also had good knowledge of what's in the food which is always refreshing.

A lovely visit. The staff are super friendly and polite. A good selection of beers to choose from and an excellent menu which clearly indicates whether the dish is vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the plum, walnut and date salad and we were both very satisfied with our meals. The establishment is clean and well decorated and has a nice outdoor area for the good weather. I highly recommend the Pickled Plum if you are in the area.

Oh fabulous lunch in comfortable surroundings. We visited after the going to the confetti fields. We enjoyed great service and the food Was fresh and fast! My friends had the fish clan’s chips which were generous in size and very fresh. I ordered the koftas which i personally thought a bit expensive in relation to the fish and chips. They were nice but nothing exciting (£20.95) so I did have a bit of food envy. Overall a great pub and lovely food and I would recommend

Not impressed by the quality of the food for the price. I had a beef kebab, this basically was a pitta bread with sliced beef inside, side salad and chips. The meat was at one point of a reasonable quality, but had been over cooked and was dry and flavourless. The salad was OK, but undressed and chips are chips. My mother had the white bait. Again these had been grossly over cooked, almost to the point that the batter was turning black. The prawn cocktail could have been good, but the lettuce had been washed and was still very wet which diluted the sauce. I gather that the slices of salmon on top made the dish. A nice setting with friendly staff, but really, the quality of the food was very...

Fantastic! Great to have a meal in a pub again and the Plum's outdoor provision is tremendous. We ate in glorious sunshine and heavy rain showers and it was lovely to be able to eat and drink in a covered environment. The food, as expected and experienced many times in the past, was excellent and the service first class. One waiter, Adam, deserves special mention as, apparently, it was his first day yet he coped admirably and made a very positive impression. Our other, more familiar, waiters and waitresses were their usual friendly and more than capable selves and it was great to see them again. We will be back!!! ...
