Severn Tandoori — Restaurant in Wyre Forest

Used to be a great place but last few times we visited the food hasn't been up to the standards it was when we first starting going there - the curry is always watery and not thick, we used to get 2 potatoes in our curry now only one, the naan breads have shrunk and so has the curry portion all together.

Not only this, the waiting time for the food has sky rocketed - one time we waited 50 minutes! When we asked the waiter why we had to wait 50 minutes his reply was why didn't we order pappadoms? - appalling reply. Not even a sorry! I would have given him a steaming great reply but it seems they're not interested in retaining customers at all, perhaps they think they have too many and so make cut backs on product and service to profit even more.

I have used the Seven Tandoori restaurant in Stourport for over 20 years and it is a fantastic Indian restaurant. All of the dishes on the menu seem to be especially prepared for you as an individual when served. Main courses are usually served on a heated plate to keep them hot during the meal. The Balti dishes are very tasty and not too spicy. There is a good selection of naan breads to accompany the meal and the choice of rice types is good too. They presently have both bottled Mongoose and draught Cobra beers available at sensible prices. Wines and Champagne is also available. The table service is excellent with hot towels provided at the end of your main course. Highly recommended if you like good service...

Just had a meal from seven tandoori for the 1st time. We usually order from Zane's which was enigma. But just fancied something from a different place. Really wish we hadn't. It might of just been that they were having a bad day. But like I said it was our 1st time. Its not that it was really bad more that nothing had any taste. Just really bland. And not very warm. And the lamb tikka was very dry. Like it wasn't cooked fresh. Just heated up. And the chips were just like really bad cheap frozen French fries. Shame as we were really looking forward to it as everything looked so nice on the menu. Just shows you can't trust...
