Went to Stourport for the day with our 2 young kids because the weather was nice, and we decided to grab a bite to eat here. Sadly, we waited over an hour for our food. When we asked one of the waiters where our food was, he said he’d find out for us, and then walked past us a number of times without making eye contact with us, so we asked again and he snapped ‘I haven’t had chance to look yet’. When he finally did check, he said that there was 5 tickets ahead of us and that we should have been told at the bar that there was an hour wait for food, which we were not told. Regardless, we had already been waiting over an hour at this point. The food was decent when it finally came but nothing special, I had Nachos which were just cheap nacho shaped crisps with sauce & bacon on them, and the kids Spag Bol was dry & not very appetising and my daughter hardly touched it, I’d have asked for something else only I didn’t want waste another hour of our day out waiting! Our 2 young kids were hungry and bored, on a nice hot day. We wasted a good chunk of our day out in this pub. Shame because the location is excellent but we won’t be...

Read moreWent for and had a fantastic breakfast for the first time today with a friend, best breakfast Really lovely would highly recommend. Only thing that spoiled it was the noisy couple that came in just after us with Lola the dog now I’m all for dogs in eating places on a lead, but this one was allowed to run around as though it was a backyard, the lady calling out to it and laughing her head off every time it raced around other peoples tables, had I have bought my granddaughter in we would have had a child in hysterics as she has been badly bitten by a dog in the past. I am not complaining about the venue at all but perhaps dogs could be kept on leads and certainly under stricter control if not, there are people that are afraid of dogs even if told they are friendly, meal a very big thumbs up, Lola the dog I’m afraid not. Know her name because lady owner yelled it out...
