Grumpy's Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Aberdeen

I was on a road trip with my family and stopped by this bar and grill to get a bite to eat. As we waited awhile for our server we got our appetizers and side salads. As the side salads and appetizers were fine my family and I ordered our dinner and it was absolutely terrible. I asked for the server and he came over and explained to him the situation as my wife and daughter got the half rack of ribs and a side. Both of these ribs were absolutely dry and the steamed broccoli had absolutely no flavor just bland. I had the mom's pasta and the tomato sauce was very water down like soup and pasta had no flavor. As I was explaining to the server how the food tasted and showed him how drenched and watered down the tomato sauce was on my dish. He then grabbed the manager of a lady which I found out was the owner. I was explaining to her the situation of what I explained to our server and then showed the manager/owner of how the ribs were dry and also my water downed drench pasta. She then caught a whole attitude in front of my 9,8, and 7 year old children which was totally unacceptable. She said that everyone likes our food and that we are the only ones that didn't like their food with a nasty attitude. I then told her everyone has a different pallet and that we did not like our dinner whatsoever. Then my wife was explaining to her how she felt and got smart with my wife and then said you people are no longer loud to come back. I was completely offended that she had the audacity to say that to my family as I am a Caucasian male with my African American wife and kids. This was totally RACIST please do not come to this restaurant as the owner thinks she can just say whatever they want and not have repercussions for their actions. I then stood up and told the owner this is not how you talk to your customers at all because they didn't like their food and that she needs to talk to her kitchen staff on why the food came out the way it did. She had the audacity to say no I do not and that you people are not welcomed back. I was completely offended by this whole situation that happened in front of my children and family. I am a guest at the Travelodge hotel in which Grumpys is located and ordered a carryout order of literally the most expensive thing on the menu, a Delmonico steak. When I went down tonouck up my order there was no one at the bar or anyone who seemed to work there. I stood and waited at the bar for someone so i could get.my food but i stood there 5 mins without anyone ever showing up or helping me. I then walked to the kitchen and.told the girl in the kitchen i was trying to pick up my order and she said.no any walked way. I do t think she spoke english. Finally i knocked on the kitchen door again and the cook came out and when i told him i was trying to pick up my order and no one was helping me he went to a lady drinking at a table and told her and she finally acknowledged me.and said u have to talk to the bar girl who also was sitting at on a bar stool drinking and conversing with patrons. She said I'm off sorry you will have to wait for the bartender to come back.in from smoking. So i waited another 10 mins so I've been trying to pic up my order for 15 at this point without any help when the bartender comes back in, the girl that was "off" tried to tell her i needed help and she just ignored her and walked into the back. I stood there another 5 mins without this bartender girl coming back out of the back to help me before i finally got so pissed off i left. This place is a joke and reminds me of the bars you see on the show bar rescue where the owners and employees only care about themselves having a good time and drinking and don't care about the customer or anything else. I will never order from them again and i would highly recommend any other guest at the hotel to avoid this place at any cost... I did lodge a complaint with the hotel management but so far haven't heard anything back from the or the management of the restaurant regarding my experience. I am very...

Patty, the manager, who also bartends at times, treated my fiancé, who is a 10+ year customer, disrespectfully. He was at the bar answering a call and she got involved in the conversation, got nasty with him and suggested he was drunk, which was not the case, he only had 2 beers, and was completely coherent and sober. She then, threatened him with calling the cops if he did not leave? Completely, humiliated him in front of others. Needless to say, neither he or, I will be going there again. Our friends also have been advised of the shameful incident she caused. Do not go! Not worth it! What kind of bar or, bartender gets involved on their customers personal calls? It is a bar! Not a library! The woman was completely unhinged, offending my fiance when he was speaking to me, prying into the conversation, he was not bothering anyone’s privacy, I heard him ask the customer sitting next to him if he was bothered, and he responded, not at all, no one was. This woman was prejudiced against my fiancé, and public humiliated him for no reason. When I called her, to ask her why she needed to behave like that, she was extremely nasty and hung up the phone. DO NOT GO! Have a drink elsewhere, next thing you know this crazy woman would do the same to you, and you can end up with a DUI, Not worth it! Sad pathetic poor...
