I live in essex and I was in the market for a new mattress . I read multiple reviews for other retailers and I decided on the mattress warehouse in Aberdeen . I'm a single mom to 4 children 3 of which are special needs I did have to take all 4 with me . Walking into the store I was greeted warmly by both Tom and Joe. I needed a new mattress for myself and pillows for all 4 of my children. Tom helped me find the perfect mattress for myself . While doing this Joe was so kind to occupy my autistic son and daughter at his desk with fidget toys he has . And try to engage them in friendly conversation. When it came time to choose pillows for my children both Joe and Tom helped my children with choosing the correct pillows and were extremely patient they didn't rush them and actually encouraged them to lay on a bed and get into their natural sleeping position . I was so touched by they kindness and willingness to help them . We've had bad experiences at certain stores with my children who are special needs . Sales ppl not wanting to deal with persons that are special needs . Both Tom and Joe were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and patient and I can't express my gratitude enough . Read moreI could NOT be happier with my recent purchase. Joe was amazing!!! He knew exactly what he was talking about and answered all of our questions and directed us to the perfect mattress. With all the various mattress stores to go to why go anywhere else? Here you will get treated the best possible!!! Thank you so much Joe!!!! UPDATE: I am still happy with my purchase, Joe was great! There was a little discrepancy on delivery our contract gave us the date 1/21/19 but after not receiving a time frame the night before we called and spoke to Jim and he let us know that was an error that the warehouse corrected without contacting us. They changed the delivery to 1/23/19 but I had several appointments that date so we settled on 1/25/19 BUT within 20 minutes I was able to clear my schedule for the 23rd and immediately called Jim back and asked if it was possible to stick with the 23rd, he said yes. But no call the night before and a call to the store today showed he never changed the date. Now I understand human error which is why I wasn’t upset with the original delivery date but this is now getting past the point. I passed on a different mattress because the new mattress is needed ASAP so the longer this has taken the worse it’s getting. Avoid this place at all costs!
I purchased a split queen box spring four days ago. My 90 lbs daughter sat on the bed and heard a crack two days after using the new bed. Obviously, there was a defect in the box spring - they don’t break that easy. When I called Mattress Warehouse of Aberdeen to swap the recently procured defective box spring, I was told by the manager that I have two options:
What should be a typical good customer service practice (simply swapping out the defective product in store - especially since it’s less than one week), is now a time suck on my part. If the warranty claim is anything like the customer service, they’ll probably deny the claim because they can’t “see” the damage.
