Chelsea's Burgers N' Brew — Restaurant in Abilene

There is nothing more frustrating than going to a restaurant and the waitresses totally ignoring you. My friend and I came in for an early dinner around 4:30. We sat down and were not greeted for 10 minutes then the bartender came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We both ordered water with lemon and she started to walk off as I asked for menus (Should not have had to ask for menus…..that’s a given). A different young lady brought over our waters and we had to ask again for lemon. I thanked her and had to, once again, ask for menus. About 10 more minutes and a nice African American young man came and took our order. I told him when we were about finished with our food I wanted to place a to go order The order was prompt and awesome as their food always is but as soon as he left our salads he tired to walk off and we had no silverware. We nearly finished our salad and I ran out of my water and needed to place the to go order so started looking around for our waiter. He was sitting at a table with another of the waitress’s who was eating a meal not looking around or coming to check onhis costumers, etc….. I waited another 10 minutes or so and walked over to where he was sitting and said “I need to place my to go order and I should not have had to get up to come tell you that if you had been checking on your customers as is your job. He apologized and promptly turned in my order and brought me the bill.

The reason I went as low as a two is because the bat tender (scantly dressed with dark hair and bun on top tattooed girl) was behind the bar using fowl language which is uncalled for in a public restaurant.

This will not keep us from eating here as we love the food and come here with groups of our friends frequently but some training really needs to...

Uh. Muh. Guh. 🥳🥳🥳 1st- How do you describe the BEST burger and fries... AND house made chips n queso? Here goes... the chips are thin and crispy, queso has fresh pico and real, grated cheese, but not too much. Fried egg burger is STUPID good!!! Seasoned beef, perfectly fried over medium egg, TONS of fresh veggies on the side, buttered bakery style bun, mustard, mayo, ketchup on the side (huge portions, not packets) and those damn fries! They're hand cut with salt AND pepper and maybe some other amazing seasoning I can't put my finger on. This is a meal I would gladly pay $50 for (and probably have in other cities). That's honestly how good it is. Obviously it's nowhere near that, so go eat there before they realize what they're worth!!! I'm about 125lbs. and ate every single bite. Just sayin. 2nd- There are TVs EVERYWHERE and even when it's crowded, it's still spacious and super clean. Also, totally kid friendly, but great for guy's night too. I don't know how they did that. 3rd, but not least- The servers are crazy fast, bring what you need without being asked and they're just comfortably outgoing. I find the customer service aspect surprising these days because face to face communication is so "out." Lol Overall, 10 BIG FAT STARS. This is my new stop on the road between Austin...

Terrible experience, wont be coming back. The waitresses were rude, unhelpful, and slow, and it was difficult getting service.

I came here for veterans day with some friends. We were walked to our table, sat down, and the waitress said her name was Lilian I believe, it was super hard to hear her and she seemed unhappy, she asked what she could get us to drink, and we told her we heard about a veterans deal, she said ok and asked what drink we wanted, we asked what the veterans deal was and she said she'll ask the manager after she brings us our drinks. It turns out there was no veterans day deal, then she just walked away before we could ask to pay for the drinks. We waited a few minutes and she never came back, we asked another waitress if she could please get us the bill and she abruptly replied "You'll have to get with your waitress" we said she hasnt come back and she replied with the same thing. We went to the bar tender, paid for our drinks, and walked out hungry and aggitated. 40 minutes of our time was wasted. We wasted our time and money here.
