I'm so happy to have an H-E-B with so many nice people in it and helpful people they r r e doing some freezers in the middle of the store but besides that it's wonderful and I know once it's done it's going to be even better the associates people who work there if you didn't know what associates mean period are so kind I wanted to buy a drink once and the register was closed and one of the ladies went over and make sure I could have the cup so I can go pay it or normal register. Then they have a nice little area to sit and eat or even charge your phone. They have free Wi-Fi you sign on and you agree to their contract not doing anything stupid or illegal. They have good meat great variety good prices and to top it all off the meal deals buy one or two or three items and get like 8 other items free what more can you ask. I know when I used to live in Killeen that was the best part of it now here in Abilene I found my love once again.
Update that I don't live in Abilene anymore, but I have to say this last visit was absolutely amazing. I love every part of it I miss it so much it's literally the best H-E-B that I know of. the customer service here is immaculate and I think all the other HEBs should take pointers from this one customer care, love, concern for others the willingness to move even I've seen people with bad days be so much more happier here I am so thankful for this H-E-B I wish you all were a little bit of everywhere.
(I have to admit my anxiety was really bad when I was in Abilene and I didn't realize it was a day before Thanksgiving a couple years back before the pandemic I had an anxiety attack on the Chip aisle right before Thanksgiving and an employee came and found me help me out and I appreciate that so much if more stores was like that and concern for their customers the world would be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI generally like H.E.B, but they really need to stop carrying cheap, tasteless, "woody" chicken (these are the white striations, or 'stripes', in chicken meat that happen during too-rapid growth).
At the Abilene location, their mobile scooters are very often not charged properly and run out of power even if they are charged up.
Whoever decided to put the line for the pharmacy right down an aisle was not thinking properly. It makes it difficult to navigate and awkward when people are trying to shop in that aisle.
This has happened only a few times, but associates in Abilene were more interested in continuing their own conversations than figuring out a question when I needed help. I'm completely ok with workers having conversations with one another, but Not when a customer actually needs assistance.
During COVID, I was working directly with COVID patients. Because of this, I was very proactive about being masked when I had to be out in public, to prevent possible spread of the virus. During one of the times I had been projectile vomited on by one of my patients, I was being very careful in the days after to follow procedure and wear my mask, etc. It was at this H.E.B. location in Abilene that I was stared down by and given extremely unpleasant looks by several, male employees. Worse yet, it was gentlemen wearing H.E.B. name tags, wearing "office clothes" - button down shirts, slacks and nice shoes. It blew my mind that a healthcare worker, actively following government guidelines to protect the public, was being treated like some kind of degenerate.
That was when I started going to Market Street for groceries. They treat customers far...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love HEB!! It has always been my favorite store, ever since I lived in Kerrville and San Antonio I have shopped HEB. I am getting a little tired of the fact that it's always busy, LOL I realize that's the way they want it to be, it just makes it harder to try to wheel up and down the aisles without crashing into 2 other's. But I don't know if there's a solution. I wish the aisles were a little larger that might help. I have had an issue with some of the HEB products themselves lately. Since I have used them for years I think I'm qualified to judge the quality and it's my opinion that in many things that I buy the quality has gone down. And I realize they want to sell their own products but I do hate the fact that they are limiting us on the brand name products that we may still want to buy. I have called the San Antonio office and reported the same thing that I have stated here today to them about the quality of specific products to them. But I do love HEB!! I will also add that I have tried and compared several of the products from Walmart as opposed to HEB and have gone back to the H-E-B brand when it comes to Health items Etc. The H-E-B Tylenol seems to work better for me and the HEB Zantac 150 mg that I take works a lot better than Walmart. I could go on and on but you get my drift. I don't understand why but I just know that for me and my body the H-E-B brand is working better and those kind of items straight...
