Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Abilene

My husband and I had dinner at here this was out first time visiting this place. Surprisingly we found this restaurant was more welcomed to the local people than the other Jason deli we visited in the other city. I observed the customers group, most of them young college students (most of them are couples) and seniors. The food quality was great. My husband and I had a great meal at here. I love their soups. The service was great . The manager is a tall guy with blue shirt, he is a very humble and patience person. He had wait us with our food delivery when my husband and I prayed for the dinner. He delivered the food, helped the other waitress, and also talked with the cutomers. They had a bus boy, he didn't talk much, but he is a hard worker, he was make sure every table doesn't have dirty and empty plates. After finished the meal, both my husband and I think : this meal was so much worthy and much more pleasant than the lunch we had at IHOp. Will be back and eat again, definitely . My favorite deli by far in Abilene which is why I am a regular. The customer service is stellar and they hook you up with that military discount as long as you show proof. I like the club sandwich and chocolate chip cookies. The self service ice cream is free is a long as you make a purchase. They offer an all you can eat salad bar with kinds of food items, but mainly fresh salad. I typically get the chicken pot pie soup. It comes with this soft doughy bread that you can use to dip and eat along with the soup. Sometimes I get the Reuben pastrami sandwich which is another go-to of mine on the menu. You can get chips with any of the specials. They have different kinds of managers specials. You can choose from different portion size sandwiches and soups. I typically get the baked lays. The food is always fresh and they’ll get you in and out there quickly. It’s never really too crowded when I go. I never plan to go. It’s usually a random decision.

Update - No Longer Sell Pickle Spears 😔

It's been 4 years since my last review. Out of the 4 years of coming here I was just told I had to PAY FOR PICKLES! Apparently pickles don't come with sandwiches they only come with chips 🙄 I guess next time I'll order and then grab a pickle on the salad bar because apparently if you dine in the rules don't apply. You can have all the free icecream you want but heaven forbid you want a pickle, that will cost you.

Love coming here! I literally come every night for a light meal. They finally have my name remembered and normally know what I like now that's always a plus. They really improved because before I would be missing a soup and that never happens anymore. They work so hard here and give the best customer service ever! They truly are a great working Team I never see anybody...
