Ok so 1 star for these people is to much but unfortunately I had to give them that to right this review, let me start off saying that me and My 2 daughters went in we each had our order, and each one if our orders were wrong, then we get to pay My 1st daughter goes to pay and they wanna charge her extra, mind you that daughter doesn't speak Spanish, as I go up there I'm telling the lady which I think is the owner, she is not paying all that, then they go to tell her that she has to pay for 5 containers so I proceed to tell the lady that all the containers are all in the table that we weren't gonna take them, apparently they charge .40 that is not posted anywhere noticable it's behind the counter by the register, either way she charges her a container, so then it's my turn to pay and she wants to charge me extra, I proceed to tell her it was one plate and she was charging me 53.00 I was like No what are you not understanding I'm paying for My plate and then she ask me how many drinks,Im like it's obvious that I have 1 plate so 1 drink,I proceed to tell her that My Oldest was going to pay for her and her girls, Well, Well she tried to charge my daughter extra and this Daughter if mine does not play with her money, and because My Daughter yells her she's not paying for containers, and not paying extra dor anything that she didn't order she threatens to take a picture of her so of course My daughter says DO IT, so My daughter pays the 20 something dollars she owes and leaves, this old lady still talking crap to her walking out the door, then we're leaving and this lady goes outside to take pictures of The Car,so that pisses My Daughter off so My Daughter parks the car,the lady runs inside, My Daughter ask why she is taking pictures, the Lady yells Call the Cops, then 2 men go outside taking more Pictures, at this point Why is this lady mad we all paid our bill,is she just mad because we didn't let her over charge us, She didn't get over on these Mexicans and it made her mad, Service Sucked, Food was alright, and We actually had to call some one over in order to attend to us because once she took out order we were no longer a Priority. Oh and there was like 10 people or less so they weren't busy. Be Careful when...
Read moreVisit #3 Decided to give this place another shot half a year later. Out of 4 entrees I would recommend 1. The lemonade is still great, and the only complaint on the #14 tacos was that the food was served cold. The #4 fajita, ceviche and menudo are a no-go. The service was also not great due to communication issues (waitress new little english). The ceviche is sweet, which is new to me, not spicy or flavorful either. The menudo was also underseasoned, but could pass if you take it home to add spices. The #4 was a plated mess, unless they actually use beef and gravy sauce? as an enchilada topping. The fajita is not pre-cut or served with tortillas. The tomato/avocado mix also had a terrible "dirty" taste. Visit #2 The food is good (the horchata is not good) however I was disappointed with the way the restaurant handled a mistake on their part. Due to a misprint on their menu and zero attempt to clarify any questions they had about our order, I was charged for 3 instead of 2 plates that were the exact same wrong entree. After I got home I called to see how this happened and after admitting it was entirely their fault, I had to drive back up to get a refund (on the food that was not cut into, which of course the enchiladas were cut into, that's how I knew it wasn't the right order). I can't stress how wrong this order was. A voucher or full refund or complimentary plate of what is advertised (my original order) would have made me a continuous customer. This was my second time there, I had recommended the food to friends and family, but they will hear about this too, order to go but don't expect anything if they make a mistake. Took two calls and a drive up there to get a refund on 1 out of the 3 plates. Visit #1 The lemonade is great, would also recommend the caldo de res. Cheese enchiladas not the best, mainly because...
Read moreBecause I dislike seeing a business fail, I hesitate to comment on our last evening's experience, but on the other hand, others should know what to expect if they decide to dine at Taqueria Nuestro Mexico, and maybe my appraisal will encourage the owners to take a close look at their offerings. Our waitress was very friendly but did not have knowledge of the Mexican dish, Fideo (and they claim authenticity?). I ordered chicken and steak fajitas. The steak was incredibly tough, and inedible, but the few small bites of chicken were good. The vegetables accompanying the dish were tasteless, some burned. My wife ordered enchiladas which were also tasteless. The tortillas were gummy and inedible. The rice was extremely dry and literally unpalatable. She only ate the refried beans, which were tolerable. The couple we entertained graciously attempted to consume part of their meal but left more food on their plates than I've ever seen. My wife's plate and mine appeared to have been untouched with little exception. All agreed that the salsa was delightful as were the chips.
Access to the restaurant on the east side was a man-sized challenge. I did not observe provisions for the handicapped though there may be such provisions in another area other than the approach I selected.
Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed that this relatively new restaurant failed my expectations, and left the four of us with assurances we would not darken the door a second time. I did not register my complaints with anyone about the poor food quality because as with many businesses, it's obvious there is not likely to be any noticeable improvement.
I might add that the cashier did not show, indicate or voice appreciation for...
