I gave 1 star because I couldn't give a negative score! I rarely post unless customer service is above and beyond. However when I place 2 separate pickup orders online and they are confirmed and paid for online and via text and then arrive at the store to pick them up the staff claims they can't find not just 1 but BOTH orders and even when shown the receipt showing payment they not only refused to fill my order they offered no refund or did much of anything other than play grab-a* with each other in front of customers. I wouldn't be totally putting them on blast if this was an isolated incident....4th time with missing entire order, someone else's order being given to me or incomplete order given to me. Each and every time no apologies from staff, no offer to replace or fix, just absolute lack of fundamental customer service and common sense!! I actually have worked for Bueno first in my teens and again just 3 years ago. I don't know if management has went to he* in a hand basket, training isn't being done correctly or at all, or if this is just what I am supposed to expect for my time ordering with Bueno (even though I have 100 other restaurants to choose from), Money (that I earn applying the necessary people skills learned over the years to my own business'es sales practices) and gasoline used to patronize Bueno's local stored. So what could have been an easy fix by making a couple tostadas and 3 soft tacos while I made a medium Dr. Pepper (all of which had already been paid for and receipts available for proof of payment) is now an extremely pi*d off customer who's family spends quite a bit of money on take-out every month (honestly with lunches, dinners and business meetings that amount can run anywhere from $500 to almost $1,000 on average and busy months...even more a month would not be an exaggeration). Read moreTook my family here for an early dinner about 40 minutes ago. The guy taking our order didn't even ring us up correctly. He charged me for two muchacos and the wholelotta platter. I asked for 2 Mucho Nauchos and repeated this to him twice. I would have been better off with the muchacos, probably. Both plates were swimming in grease, and my chips were practically see-through. Even took napkins to the plate to try and soak up some of the grease. Did not help much. So we decided to get something else. The girl who took our order has no personality and apparently almost no speaking ability either. She just looks at you with her eyebrow raised and her whole body radiates that she doesn't want to be there. The only words she said to me was "anything else"? The only bright side to my entire experience at this location was one of the cooks. The big guy in the back is very friendly and outgoing. He was very kind, making sure my order was sent out correctly. This is supposed to be the better of the two Taco Bueno's in Abilene. We make the longer drive despite living up the street from the Judge Ely location because of that. I am sorely disappointed with most of my visit. Please do better, Bueno. Read moreYuk. I live near this Bueno, so every few months I stop by to see if it’s improved- today will probably be the last time I eat here. For the past year at least, the inside has been really dirty and smells bad. The condiment bar is disgusting, and the staff is rude and unhelpful.
Today we ordered two tacos and a Mexi-dips from the drive thru. Guy at window didn’t even say “thanks” or anything - pretty much just threw the bag at us. Hubby’s sad little tacos had less than a teaspoon of meat on them and were cold. My tiny serving of chips was stale and chewy. The dips looked like they’d been sitting out since yesterday. The beans were so hard they couldn’t possibly be “dipped,” even with the plastic fork.
Wish I could post ZERO stars. This location has degraded so much that it’s way worse than the three stars would indicate. Since the food and service was so bad this time, I won’t be back. I hear the one on Buffalo...
