Went to grab 2 Jr. Whoppers & 2 fries 🍟 on Sunday 7/30 and went through the drive-thru. They had two lines open so I went to the outside Lane and placed my order and pulled up to pay. After paying the guy gave me my change from a twenty-dollar bill and my receipt and brought me back my icewater the two cars in the lane I was in in front of me got their food and drinks and left and I pulled up and then the car behind me got their food and I'm just waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting..... I finally hollered at the guy when I saw him coming out to go to somebody else's car and asked him what's going on with my order I only had a small order and he said he would have to check and when he came back out he said for some reason my order did not relay from outside to the inside so nobody had started making my food even though I had already paid gotten the receipt and been waiting for like 20 minutes! So I asked him if the inside was still open to which he said it should be so I told him I would pull around and come inside and talk to the manager. when I went inside there was about eight young men that worked there chit-chatting at the front checkout stand with what appeared to be a customer but they were all giggling and having fun and I had to interrupt to ask for the manager. When she came up front and I told her what was going on she was ready to just go make my food and I said no I want my food made and I also want a refund because it was wrong for them to have me waiting so long! She didn't seem thrilled with what I wanted which was a refund and my food considering I sat in my car running my gas for 20 minutes in the Drive-Thru so that would only be fair But ultimately she did go ahead and give it to me. The only reason I am doing this review is because it should not have happened in the first place. I understand the economy is horrible right now and people don't want to work after covid but make sure the people you do hire or going to do the jobs they are hired for or you will end up not having a company to run at all because you will run off all your customers. We are born and raised Texans and love Whataburger but this was...
Read moreNo restaurant or chain establishment is more often associated with Texas than the legendary Whataburger.
Most Texans will tell you that to really appreciate Whataburger, you don't just order "the Whataburger." No, you have to experience the Patty Melt, the Avocado Bacon Burger, or the Green Chile Double. I don't think anyone out there really thinks there's anything especially significant about "the Whataburger" itself, which is confusing for first-time visitors who want to see what the fuss is about. They order "the Whataburger" and are immediately disappointed in how uniquely delicious it ISN'T.
I've eaten at Whataburgers regularly for my entire life, and I can tell you that Whataburgers are consistent. I've never had a remotely poorly-made meal at a Whataburger, which is only surprising considering how many times I've eaten there. With Whataburger, you know what you're getting, and it doesn't matter what time of day it is. You could come in a 2 AM or 2 PM and you'd still get the same fresh meal and friendly service.
If I were to have ANY gripe with Whataburger, I suppose it would be with the price of it, but I think that 24 -hour service definitely makes up for that.
10/10, would recommend Whataburger and this location...
Read moreThe whataburger on 3141 South Danville, Abilene TX, store 524, has been really off of late. Not sure if they just have allot of new people, or if they have hired less competent workers. On Tues a burger had to be sent back 3x to get it right. A friend had to ask 3-4 times to get his strawberry shake. The correct burger was finally received and was good. And the same with the shake.
Today, they brought out the contents of order 12, on the ticket of 32, and then tried to give order 32's contents to table 38. 2 burgers were wrong, but not truly worth sending back (1 had cheese not ordered, and the other did not have tomatoes when it should have). And had to ask a 2nd time for their chocolate shake after the food was brought. The person who brought the shake held it with their hand over the lid instead of by the side.
I am not remotely angry or anything, however its important to mention the quality of service here is slipping and should be fixed before more easily annoyed or angered people decide to go elsewhere.
It is also probably important to mention, both visits were in the evening, between 6-8 both times were moderately busy, but not...
