Vic's Subs — Restaurant in Absecon

A little sandwich shop in the middle of a residential neighborhood, the building looks like it was originally built to be just another one of the houses. Orders are taken online, by phone, or in person. Walking in the front door, it's mostly take-out business, with not much dine-in space, but people seldom use it, so it's usually available. The parking area is tiny, because it's only the driveway of the small building. However, there's plenty of street parking always available in this quiet neighborhood. At least one customer at any given time can always be seen "dashboard dining" for a few minutes, because the aroma of the sandwich is too much to resist inside the car. I won't get too much into the details of the sandwiches, but just say that they're excellent, using fresh rolls and top quality ingredients. I mostly go for the cold Italian subs (I call them "hoagies"), and the hot cheesesteaks. They sell the usual additional items a sandwich shop would sell: snack cakes, potato chips, cold bottled soda, etc. The service is fast and friendly. You can't...

First of all the proprietor/boss and all of the staff were very pleasant, charming, helpful, and I felt that I was in a Michelin star restaurant. Staff was excellent and outrageously knowledgeable. But the FOOD was so good, so beautifully made and the best deli meats and cheeses were top notch.

The subs or as I say hoagies were works of art but even better than they looked. They were fresh and lively and tasted like a sub you’d get in Philadelphia. I don’t know how they were able to get the food and the condiments and the right oil. I even asked for mayonnaise and oil and no one balked at my request.

I will be back there for more hoagies/subs but I plan to try their other foods. I was so impressed. I used to love White House but try and get a parking space and the cost for WHITE HOUSE is separate for anything on your sub.

Oh yes, Vic’s was 21.00 for two half Italian subs and 2 ice teas. Really. But now their secret is out and I even read about them on Google about a week ago. I’ll have to go on...

Vic's Sub Shop in my opinion is far superior to the White House Sub Shop in AC!!! I have tried several Sub Shops before I was fortunate to find Vic's Sub Shop. I am extremely picky (self-proclaimed snob) when it comes to deli meat and hands down Vic's Sub Shop has the best deli meat in a ten to twenty-mile radius! The deli meat and tuna salad are so fresh and the deli meat is cut to the perfect thickness! The sub rolls are fresh with the perfect outer crust and the perfect softness on the inside! I love Vic's Sub Shop so much that every Christmas my family and I order a sub tray for our Christmas dinner!
