My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two night. We were told that it was a pet friendly place, but yet on the paper work at the bottom there was a question asking if your pet can or can’t be left alone in the room, and after that it says under that one ,is you may not leave your pet alone in the room??!! If that is the rule then why even bother to ask people if they can or can’t be alone, then my boyfriend was told that we can leave our dog for 2 hours 3 hours max... ok I get that want to make sure the pet is being taken care of ... then I go to the office and let them know I have to pick my boyfriend up from the casino from his game of pool it was cities , I get told I have to stay with her the whole time and unless I take the dog I can’t leave.. to make it better at the time of me writing this, this will be our second night here and no one has knocked on our door to see if he need fresh towels and wash clothes and shampoo’s and we all know they only give the little packets like little we didn’t even get the ones in the bottle we got the little ones that’s in those little packets there is two of us here.....?? What are we gonna do with 2 ... and as I come to think of it we never had a do not disturb sign on the door besides when we left to go to the tournament... I didn’t see a breakfast like they clame to have the pool is never open no it hasn’t been in the 90s but still would of been nice to be able to stick my feet in or something and even if it was hot you can only swim when manger and someone else is there .just not a really good place to stay I’ve walked around and passed the lady who cleans the rooms and not once asked me if I needed and I did not have The dog with me when i was trying to leave to pick my boyfriend up the guy in the office didn’t even ask if we needed...
Read moreThis is one of the worst hotels I stayed at. My girlfriend and I decided to stay one day. The issues all started upon arrival. The Empire Inn has a door bell to ring to get help, there were 5 people standing waiting for about 15 mins. It took another 15 to check in. Normally, that wouldnt be much of an issue, but my girlfriend is disabled. Our room smelled like an ashtray dispite it being non smoking. The room was filthy. There were stains on the bedsheets, the walls, and the chairs. We came here because we were on vacation. My girlfriend has an online job that is extremely stringent about absences. That morning she had to teach at 5am. She was unable to connect to their wifi and lost out on making money. I attempted to go to their front desk and let them know about the situation. They said that by the morning they would have someone , and they would unplug the router to see if that made a difference in the meanwhile. The issue is that her class would have passed by the time someone did come. She tried everything, she cleared out her entire computer, and spent hours trying to do IT for her computer. This is not something that she should have to worry about on a vacation. This was extremely stressful for her. Luckily she didnt have many classes to teach, or she could have lost her job. Their pool is extremely small and only goes to 5 feet. Their “continential breakfast”, was a stale cinnamon bun. They had powerered milk to put in their coffee and that was it. There were only 4 cinnamon rolls left in their case when I got there and I didnt want to be selfish and take all of them. One guest took an entire plate for himself. I asked for compensation because of all of this and the manager was unwilling to work with me. This place needs to be reported, which I...
Read morePLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING A ROOM AT THE EMPIRE INN&SUITES, ABSECON, NJ. I stayed at the Empire Inn & Suites and words can not describe how much I regret wasting my money on such an ABHORRENT EXPERIENCE. RUDE STAFF AND DIRTY ROOMS IS THE MOST SUCCINCT WAY TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU WANT TO AVOID THIS DEPLORABLE ESTABLISHMENT.
Before I go on, you must know that three of the main pictures for this hotel that you are shown here on Google are FAKE PICTURES - Specifically the ones showing a beautiful indoor pool room with chaise lounges and a mural of the beach on the wall behind the pool. IT IS NOT A PICTURE OF THE EMPIRE INN&SUITES, ABSECON, NJ. Also the other two pictures showing two separate dining rooms : one room with long tables dressed w/ white table clothes, and the other picture showing a sizable room with multiple square tables containing vases w/ flowers (closest table in the foreground contains a vase with pink flowers), recessed lighting in the ceiling and multiple counters in the background showing pitchers of orange juice, and a trio of coffee dispensers – THESE THREE PICTURES ARE FAKES. THESE ROOMS DO NOT EXIST AT THE EMPIRE INN&SUITES, ABSECON, NJ. THEY WERE TAKEN AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL. DO NOT BE DUPED AS WE WERE. THERE IS NO INDOOR POOL, DINING ROOMS, OR HOT TUB (well, there is a hot tub but it's filled to the brim with ornamental rocks).
Additionally, THERE IS NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST – ONLY A SINGLE TINY TRAY OF DISGUSTING MINI MUFFINS LOCATED IN THE SMALL STALE TABLE-LESS & CHAIR-LESS RECEPTION LOBBY. PLEASE SAVE YOUR SANITY AND DO NOT STAY AT THIS NAUSEATING PLACE. The only reason I rated it as one star is because there is no option to give it ZERO stars as...
