Lola’s Cafe & Kitchen — Restaurant in Absecon

We love Lola’s Cafe—the food and drinks are always great! However, our experience was affected by one worker (the one with red hair and fake freckles) who was rude to us. We didn’t hear her “how are you” because we were in the middle of a conversation, and her attitude afterward made the atmosphere less enjoyable.

Overall, it’s a great spot, but that interaction definitely stood out.

I appreciate your response, but I’m disappointed that instead of acknowledging or apologizing for my experience, the focus was on how I should have handled it differently. Reviews are meant to reflect honest customer experiences—both positive and negative—and it’s unfortunate that you’re more concerned with controlling the narrative than addressing valid feedback. Wow. In from California to visit family and a dear friend took me and my sister to Lola’s, saying she thought we’d really like it. We really, really liked it! It was packed for lunch on Saturday and I can totally see why. Everything about this space is thoughtful. It’s bright and easy, unpretentious and welcoming. But don’t let the low-key vibe fool you. The food is superb! We had the turkey burger, a kale salad, and the beet and feta burger. And homemade sodas for all. The trendy word is curated, but it applies to these plates! They were really well-proportioned and the flavors just shined through. Special kudos go to the beet and feta burger. Absolutely delicious! So creative and flawlessly executed IMO. L.A. is full of vegetarian and vegan spots and this burger stomps on a lot of them. The flavor and texture of the beets was so savory and was a perfect foil for the avocado. The flavors were a wonderful combination, but also somehow showcased each other. Bravo! Another really fun standout was the French toast kabobs. We were talking up a storm and decided to get them to share for dessert because, well, French toast kabobs! Deliciously sweet bites alternating with strawberries and bananas. Three kabobs-one for each of us: perfect! A lovely finish for the meal. Staff was lovely: accommodating and authentically attentive. Lola's Cafe is right next to the White Horse Spirits and Liquor in Absecon is a Sweet Haven. It's inviting atmosphere is just what you need Away from the hustle of Atlantic City from the Noise&Chaos to a place where you can just Unwind and Decompress!

As Soon as you Step through the Doors It takes you to a more Simplistic time right when you walk in to the white tile Floors to the '70s Bistro-Cafe Atmosphere. To the Paisley Persian rug in the the Waiting Area to the live plants. Fresh flowers are Set on every Table with Intention. A marble countertop Sits below Chic Gold light fixtures and a gorgeous white Mosaic tile ceiling All around.

Lola's Cafe is as inviting and welcoming as a breath of fresh spring air. It Comforts your heart with nourishment as good as their food. I sat along the counter and just immersed myself with just the ebb and flow of the people that work there along with the customers and you just feel right at Home.
