Occasion: Father in law’s birthday. There were 4 of us and I was yelling at people across the table.
Atmosphere: The environment is very loud and it’s so hard to hear people. You’re leaning half way across the table to hear someone yell.
Service: friendly staff and good attentiveness, helpful suggestions.
Food: Value = Quality + Price. Taste was good BUT the prices overmatched the quality. Ordered guacamole and chips app for $10. I get more guac in my Condado lunch taco special, which is only 1/2 a normal size dip. I got just as much pico as I did guac. Dinner, Ordered the Camerones and was given 8 shrimp for 5 tortillas. 2 shrimp easily fit on one tortilla. Plate was 1/3 rice, 1/3 beans and an assortment of onion, peppers, quac and shrimp. For almost $30, I expect more. Margaritas were all premade and yet they were downtown GR prices. I just got back from Sarasota, FL and paid the same price for handshake and poured margaritas. I understand as a 10 yr industry vet that restaurant and bar help is hard to find, but come on… if you charge those prices for drinks, have a bar tender make em in real time.
All in all, I’ll only come back if someone else is paying, the value isn’t quite there. I understand it’s a pricey location in downtown Ada, but if you’re going to be here long term, the value...
Read moreThe place is really nice aesthetically. Great atmosphere inside and out, and overall very clean.
But...the most important; the food. I found it criminal they are charging almost $5/each for very very mediocre tacos. I was recommend to try it as they claimed that the tacos are legit and very authentic, but I was very much disappointed. Taco bell has better tasting tacos lol.
I got the 9 taco family combo which was over $50!! The tacos were on the small side so I figured I can easily eat them all being that I hadn't eaten anything that day. This would be true if they actually tasted good. All tacos came with barely any toppings along with some very spicy pickled onions and badly caramelized onions. I got 1 shrimp taco which came with 3 lousy unseasoned shrimps just tossed on side and tortilla had some cabbage looking lettuce in it. Carne asada was very dry/rough and tasteless. The chicken tasted old and stale and had consistency of chicken you get from a can. The 1 fish one I got wasn't too bad, but likely because it was masked by the sweet pineapple salsa.
The clean environment/atmosphere, imo, doesn't justify the poor quality and high prices...
Read moreWill call this a new addition to Ada a hopeful work in progress. Reservation system good, seating on time & in a pleasant but somewhat sterile environment. Waitstaff, Clara, efficient but not warm - formalistic overuse of the 'we' pronoun, i.e., what would 'we' like, irritating and a tad condescending, as delivered. $10 house margarita okay, but impressive array of other, unique tequilas available to more discerning tastes. Chips and salsa - chips crisp, but somewhat greasy - great salsa, though, and wonderful selection of sauce dips, mild through hot. My entree was Camarones al Ajo - tad pricey at $28, but very good. Perfectly seared shrimp, with warm flour wraps, beans, guacamole, sour cream, etc. My wife ordered the Chorizo tacos (2/$11) - meat was great, but nothing else came with the order, i.e. no cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc. Basically meat on a flour wrap. She wouldn't order again. On balance, underwhelming first visit but some hopeful bright spots. Will stop back in six months for a...
