Please do not let this review keep you from going to this fine restaurant because they had a bad day today with me. I am compelled to post this review because I was shocked at what happened today at lunch and how a place like this could let this happen! I ordered the Lobster roll ( "Lobsta" on the menu to give it a new England pronounciation). It cost 34 dollars. What did I get? About a pound of French fries, a bun that looked like a typical hot dog bun you'd buy at the grocery store, and about 1.5 oz (guess) of lobster meat with some kind a sauce on it and a pot full of melted butter. The percentage of lobster on the plate vs bun and fries was maybe 5% to 95%. How did everything taste? tasted fine. What's the problem? I felt completely cheated. I discussed this problem with the host and waiter and specifically told them NOT to offer a refund. They fell over themselves to insist they take it off the bill and apologized. They are all very nice people. I only told them about this problem because it's such a cool place and I was mad because I never believed I'd ever feel cheated here as it was the 4 th time I'd been there and had great experiences every other time. It's not an inexpensive place ..which is ok as long as you get something for your money. Please be more careful. I will come back to Post as this must be a...
Read moreWent last night with friends so there was 6 total. We had RSVP at 6, arrived at 5:45 and our table was ready early. Homecoming was last night for local schools and the place was packed to the brim. The service was amazing even though they were extremely busy. The apps were incredible. We had roasted cauliflower that was still crisp and not mushy, melted IPA cheese with large potatoes wedges and celery root that was so tasty. We also had deviled eggs that had a chili sauce on them and burrata and prosciutto with arugula that was perfect. Moving on to dinner the fish and chips were some of the best we ever had. The fish was soo moist and pillowy soft crusted in a crispy batter that was cooked to perfection. The table also had shepherd pie with lamb that was tender and flavorful. Desserts are a must. Several of us are not fans of carrot cake and fell in love with the moist cake and cream cheese frosting that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. I will dream about that cake! The gelato was refreshing. Can't...
Read moreVery happy to see this addition to the Ada Village. We made a reservation over the phone and they were very timely seating us. You can use OpenTable to reserve which is nice. The decor is beautiful and they have a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks took a bit longer which was understandable as they are new. The cocktails were perfectly crafted and delicious. The food was good. Nothing left us "wow'ed" and wanting more. Our table had 2 steaks cooked at different temps (medium-well and medium) and unfortunately one ended up being rare. We did let the server know for next time, and she was apologetic but no offer to comp the check at all which we thought was unusual. We had a birthday girl so they gave us a choice of dessert on the house (very kind of them), and we chose the blueberry lemon cheesecake which was perfection. All in all, we had a great time and will definitely be back, and we're certain they will get better and better as...
