At first glance, the name Trattoria might lead to the expectation of a traditional Italian dining experience. In Italy, a trattoria is typically a casual, family-run restaurant serving home-style dishes. However, it quickly becomes clear that Nonna’s Trattoria is not aiming for authenticity. Instead, it offers a more Americanized take on Italian cuisine, sometimes successfully, but often falling short, especially given the high prices.

The primavera pasta was disappointing, overcooked and lacking flavor. A dish that should be light and fresh instead felt dull and uninspired.

The mussels were a highlight. They were fresh, and the sauce was well-balanced, offering the right mix of acidity and depth. However, the scallops were the complete opposite, far from fresh, with an unpleasant smell that made them hard to enjoy. The citrus risotto served alongside had a decent flavor but was unfortunately overcooked.

The pizzas were clearly not authentic Italian-style but weren’t terrible either. The sauce had a nice balance of acidity and sweetness.

The tiramisu was another disappointment. The ladyfingers weren’t properly soaked in coffee, making them too dry, and the mascarpone cream lacked the rich, slightly tangy kick that makes this dessert shine.

One of the standout items was the limoncello, which was of exceptional quality and served at the perfect temperature.

Service was mostly efficient, but one moment stood out as particularly unprofessional; a server mentioned that she needed to check out and asked to bring the bill early. This disrupted the flow of the meal and left a negative impression.

On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and had a pleasant aroma, which is always a plus.

Nonna’s Trattoria is not the place to go for authentic Italian cuisine. Some dishes, like the mussels, showed promise, while others, like the pasta and scallops, were poorly executed. Given the high prices, better quality and consistency were expected.

Not a place to return for the food, but for a well-made drink, maybe. The espresso martini was enjoyable, perhaps a bit too coffee-forward for my taste, but still a...

All the local restaurants had wait times when we when we looked across the street a saw a newer restaurant that we've never been to after looking at the menu it sounded like it would be great and no wait time so my nine month pregnant wife and five-year-old daughter and I went in The menu was a little bit pricey but hey it looked good after catching glances from the waitstaff and hostess apparently were not the target clientele when we were sat I ordered a $14 plate of muscles and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes later a server finally stop by the table to get our drink order I ordered a beer my wife had a sparkling water another 15 minutes went by and still no muscles our server clearly did not want our business as she waited the tables around us people in their mid-40s wearing Michael Kors sweaters just as we were about to leave due to lack of service the manager came by with my beer and a beer for my pregnant wife clearly did not put in the right order just another sign of lack of service but it was nice that I was able to tell the manager of this establishment that I will not be back My wife was due next week and I wanted to take them out to a really nice dinner and this is what I get we went to Schnitz across the street and had a great time quick service and great food with an up-and-coming market like ada I don't forsee this restaurant lasting do yourself a favor if you're in your 20's-30's it doesn't matter if you're successful or not have a family or not give somebody who appreciates your business your money first impressions are everything and I guarantee you they will never get a...

Had a rehearsal dinner here recently. Food was good, but our waitress made the whole experience just horrible.

When drinks were ordered I had not seen a menu yet and she gave me some attitude about not being ready. When she came back and I asked for just whichever red wine she recommended, she huffed in frustration.

When dinner came around I had not decided on my meal since we were mingling (plus multiple kids). While she was clearly frustrated, I asked if she could skip us and come back which she was not pleased about and rudely rolled her eyes and said “are you going to be ready when I’m done then?”

When dinner came out she gave our family the wrong meals and told us “No, That’s what you ordered.” Turns out with us asking her to skip us she just misquote the order of the meals. Totally fine, except when you then stand at our table frustrated and blame it all on using saying “We’ll this happened because you were not ready to eat.”

After 10min into our meal a family member across from me flags down the waitress and says she never got her meal. The waitress goes in the back and proceeds to come back out and say “Well I asked the table when I was handing out food whose this was and no one answered. Because everyone decided to switch seats I didn’t know whose it was so I brought it back and they threw it out.”

Never an apology from her and constant attitude. I understand big parties are stressful to serve, but in my opinion her service and attitude was completely...
