We recently visited Los Burritos Mexicanos with our baby, and we had such a wonderful experience! The food used to be crazy good about 3-4 years back. Came back on Tuesday night around 11 Pm after trying to eat at crazy pour and being told their kitchen was closed, was expecting the same good food as before. ordered fish and chicken tacos, boyfriend ordered a torta de al pastor. My chicken tacos were the red chicken which I don’t like and would have found helpful prior to ordering (I believed it to be grilled chicken) and my fish tacos were what would basically be a deep fried fish stick between two tortillas with lettuce cheese and like 3 small dices of tomato :/ both tacos were unsavory very dry had to keep pouring salsa over them the tortillas were the white corn tortillas very dry no flavor not even the original corn tortillas, and the fish taco was just bland with a deep fried flavor expected the fish to be grilled or seasoned or something. My boyfriends torta was below edible as well, constantly poured salsa into the torta. the al pastor wasn’t juicy and red as it should be instead it was dry and looked almost blood clot red. Totally not appetizing. We were hungry so we ate what we got but not satisfied at all. The horchata was ok until I looked on the glass and the ice had a piece of red something. Left right after that. Will definitely not be returning ever again completely disappointed in a place to try and represent Mexican food..strongly advise everyone to go else where for your Mexican food cravings crusher! Updated review after owner replied, I'm going to add a few things, you commented that you don't think i visited your establishment because I gave it a bad review, I went there Monday the 14th, I called ahead and ordered 4 steak burritos, check your order history. I called 5 minutes before I arrived and when I got there all 4 burritos were already bagged, so how are you going to tell me they are made to order. Second, I'm from the south side of chicago where the best Mexican food is from, so you telling me that I didn't visit because you didn't like what I said is bs, you're food is not good at all compared to what they serve over here, you're located in a suburb so the area you serve most likely never had real fresh Mexican food. You telling me that you had an off day is also bs. A great restaurant never had off days. Go thru your reviews, alot of them comment on how greasy it is. How dare you tell me I must have not visited.? And no I won't stop by to try nothing. I can out cook your cooks any day.
