Don’t let the atmosphere rating keep you away. I had to rate it a one due to it really being a take out place with a few tables set up if you stay.

The most important thing is the food, we had the chicken and the chops… mmm mmm good best describes! The owner (cook, cashier, dishwasher, and whatever else) was great! Her batter was delicious and you could tell she takes great pride in what she serves.

The overall four stars is just because of the atmosphere! Oh, and bring your appetite, there is a sign that says she had to make the portions smaller vs. increasing the price, I can’t imagine how large they...

Stopped in after camping at Reed Bingham State Park heading south - the owner was very nice and helpful, ordered chicken and cheesy grits. Waited 7 min for the chicken which was fine we sat on the porch and relaxed - 2 huge chicken breasts piping hot and nice helping of creamy delicious cheesy grits. Thank you it was wonderful and comforting as we traveled onward. Owner is a grandma raising grandkids, local business owner - let’s support her. ...

This place is at least 6★ - after I took off 1 star because I found the baked beans little too sweet (for me). Total gem of a stop! I called ahead because they are listed to close at 2 and the lady (Bridget) said she would stay open a bit longer as there were still things available. We had the most wonderful quail dinner (+ pork chop and chicken dinner) and sampled many sides. Collards, green beans and chitlins & rice were excellent. So glad...
