Waffle House — Restaurant in Adel

Awesome experience from the start! I frequent Waffle House due to traveling. I come to this one specifically annually, to hang out on our property since it is the local stop. and Its something we always look forward to for breakfast. Today’s visit was awesome. Mrs Laurie was helping us today and the service and food amazing! The door was opened for us and we were greeted with friendly smiles and well wishes.. Good morning, morning y’all and such..

I had to give good praise, because although most of my experiences growing up eating at waffle have been great.. I did go to one recently that was not on par. Service was meh, and food all greasy. I was good training and polite staff. Great food. Well done team! I’d say to everyone.. stop In Adel Waffle House for some good southern...

If I could give a negative rating this restaraunt would have a -5! I have never had such a horrible experience and I've ate at waffle Houses all across the US. We waited 20 mins to be acknowledged by anyone in the restaurant. Finally recieved a menu, then another 15 mins for coffee. The cook was terrible for being a morning shift. 4 waffles burnt and tore apart and still served..all returned before finally getting 2 waffles that were edible. All while still waiting on a sausage breakfast bowl that came out cold. I didn't have time to send it back since I had to be on my way so i waited another 5 mins to get a to go bowl and fed my breakfast to my dog. Was the WORST waffle house I've ever been to. Waffle house is my favorite breakfast place. Asked for hash browns got grits. Ordered eggs over easy. They were cold as if someone pulled them out of the walk in cooler. They were also EXTREMELY slimy. Couldn't even feed them to my dog in fear that they were either bad or not cooked all the way. Waitress took this meal off the bill which was nice of her. Finally went to register to pay...no one was in front of me...still took someone 5 minutes to get to me. We are heading to Florida. I can gaurentee that we will NOT BE STOPPING at this one on our way back to Michigan. Since there are no waffle houses in Michigan it is a treat for us to eat there when we go south...
