Alpha Koney Island — Restaurant in Adrian

I've always had amazing food and amazing service from alphas, so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. our server came got our drinks, brought the drinks back and took our order, brought our food out, and then brought us our bill. she never once asked how our food was, which two out of the three meals were absolutely horrible, she never asked if we needed anything which we did need other things, she completely missed any steps of service in that whole situation. I wish I had her name, but she never introduced herself. anytime I got up to go to the bathroom, which was three times, she was standing at a different table chatting up her friends. when my mother went to ask I believe it was Kendra if there was a manager she could speak to, Kendra had an attitude with her and asked in regards to what, when my mother said while in regards to my service, our server was standing right there and both my server and Kendra decided to get nasty with my mother. we have been coming to alphas for years, it was one of my father's favorite places to go before he passed almost a year ago. it's my husband's favorite restaurant, and our 7 year old too. today was absolutely horrendous and I don't know if we'll ever be back. this is a prime example as to why I don't dine out when I've been in the service industry...

I have never had anything but absolutely fantastic experiences at Alpha, and writing this review does not come easy for me! The food was okay, albeit cool by the time it arrived to our table. But our service will rank amongst the worst service I have ever received anywhere! Our server seemed more interested in socializing and taking smoke breaks than she was with even wondering how we were, how our food was or if we needed anything. She took our orders then after delivering our food we never seen her again until she brought us our check. We were never asked if we needed drink refills, whether our food was correct or okay or even if we needed anything else. I made the mistake of asking a woman at the counter if she was the boss lady and when she said no I said I needed to talk to someone about my server, who was standing right there and immediately went into defense mode and rolled her eyes at me. At that point I got an attitude and let her know exactly how I felt. I understand and accept that I was in the wrong and I apologize for that to both the restaurant and the server. But I'm not sure if I'll ever return at this point. Poor service is one thing, but rolling your eyes and giving attitude to a customer who is obviously not happy with your service is a whole...

This place was pretty packed when we got there earlier this morning (Sunday morning at about 9:30am). We had 4 parties ahead of us, but we were seated fairly quickly. The wait could definitely be an issue as the staff just walks up and asks, "Who's next?" The service wasn't bad per se, but it definitely wasn't good either. Our waitress was nice, but she seemed to be over-tasked and, as a result, we didn't see her much for how small the place was. Another woman came by to fill my coffee up and was less than friendly when I asked for a different cup because I realized that the inside of the cup was stained and dirty. The food was below average as well, especially considering it took almost an hour to arrive. My wife and I both had eggs that were way overcooked in our meals. My bacon was cold, but my sausage links were hot; my wife's bacon was hot. The waitress said the cook forgot the single pancake we ordered for my daughter; that took long enough for us to just divvy up some of our son's...
