I've just got to say that the staff this afternoon around 2 were definitely more interested in letting the customers know why they were short staffed instead of trying to do the best that they could with what they had! I won't pretend to know what they were going through, but that's still absolutely no excuse! I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and avocado and fries. The waitress dropped the food on the table and walked away without even making eye contact, let alone asking if we needed anything (a k.a. our empty drink glasses sitting on the edge of the table refilled maybe?). Somehow I ended up getting fries with bacon and cheese on them. After almost 5 minutes waiting for the waitress to stop animatedly talking at another table, we finally just flagged someone else down. Yes, by this time I was beyond upset! I pulled the sandwich ( which was done perfectly) off the plate and explained the situation. The person that took the incorrect fries said they would be right back with an empty plate .....they never came back so my sandwich sat on my napkin while I waited. During this time I watched our waitress go through nearly every part of the restaurant, except the area near our table. Waited more than 10 minutes to finally get french fries that were so overcooked they were grease soaked and mostly inedible. Our drinks were still empty from even before our food was brought to the table, we were never asked if we needed anything else since the server dumped and ran when she brought our food and we never did see the person who took the incorrect fries and stated they'd be back with an extra plate. When the server brought our check she was suddenly interested in finding out what was wrong, because it was very obvious I was upset. Sorry, wrong time to decide you finally want to give me a few moments of your time. I also witnessed at least one table leave after being seated.
I get it, being short handed is the absolute worst possible scenario! But honestly, should you even be open if it's so short staffed that you can't even serve your customers? And it wasn't even busy! My server spent more time fraternizing than actually doing server work! We keep coming back in the hopes it's different. After...
Read moreWe order from the Adrian Bob Evans every Sunday morning and will usually stop in once during the week. For the past couple of weeks, our delivery has had something wrong with it. Not sure if there’s a new cook or something, but I suspect that’s the case. No problem, I get the learning curve. Being the kind of people that grin and bear it, we don’t make a stink because we realize Sunday morning is the busiest time for them. Today, I ordered the farmhouse chicken sandwich online for delivery, and the sandwich that was delivered was so pitiful and so messed up, it was laughable. So, I drove up to the restaurant after having our order delivered with the sad chicken sandwich and was greeted by Krista, the shift supervisor. Let me tell you, this girl needs a raise, promotion, everything. I hope a higher manager sees this and takes my advice. She cares about the place and she made our order right. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be giving 5 stars. And if it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t be dining at or ordering from this Bob Evans anymore. I sure hope whoever her manager is really appreciates her as an employee, because I think she keeps the place together and has a great...
Read moreThanksgiving day, I waited in my vehicle nearly 50 minutes, placed my order at 5:37pm, promised time was 5:56pm and didn’t get my food until 6:25pm.
Called to place an order & didn’t get anyone on the line so drove there and was told the phones were down ok. Placed an order asked the cashier if they could bring the meal out she agreed so I gave her A description of my car and went there and waited patiently. Waited until I noticed that they were bringing food out to customers who weren’t there nearly as long as myself by at least 15 to 20 minutes so I go in. As I’m in there the cashier who took my order and a few other employees are sitting at a table 3 to 4 feet next to all the orders, the lady who was taking food out to the cars asked me for my name gave her my name and she grabbed my bag which was with like 7 others bags Food was cold! also I didn’t get any utensils or napkins for all this food I’ve ordered. I’m kind of disappointed because I came out to support the local business but the service seemed subpar and as if employees were looking to take it easy... I’m sure they knew my food was ready & knew that I was outside waiting for them to bring it out......
