My husband and I haven’t been to a red lobster since they quit doing endless shrimp and were bought out by a new owner and after today we wont ever go to another one again.
Definitely was NOT impressed at all by the changes that the new owner had promoted and promised on tv…. The cheddar bay biscuits were half the size they ever were before and had 1/4 of the cheese, seasoning and butter in their recipe then they previously used to; the ones you make at home taste 100x better then the ones we were served.
In order to get endless biscuits you have to pay for it now??? The place had literally no delicious food smell to it at all which I thought was weird since we were seated behind the kitchen. It just smelled like they freshly painted even though the interior looked identical to what it did last time i was there. The waitress was also super annoying trying to upsell alcohol and then also desert at 11a and then calling my 30yo husband and I kids the entire time despite only being 8 years older then me (according to what she told us)
Overall very dissatisfied and disappointed in our experience and will never go back even when they are only place open on the holidays
After BM our experience there is nothing that will ever get us back in this restaurant especially not this location which is the worst location Ive been too...
Read moreMy husband and I were here with two friends early this evening for an anniversary celebration. Three of the four of us ordered salmon, only to have our server come back to our table and say they were out of salmon. We each then ordered trout. I didn't ask the others how theirs was, but mine was overcooked and dry. We learned this evening that there is now an extra charge for a salad. I ordered brocolli for my side, as I always do, and as I always do, I told our server that I like mine lightly steamed, bright green and still crunchy. She assured me they could do that. The last three times I've ordered it that way it has come overcooked, mushy, and highly seasoned. I was hopeful tonight! But alas, when my broccoli arrived, it was mushy and over seasoned as in recent visits. So I'm wondering if the broccoli is now frozen? I can think of no other reason why what used to be exactly how I requested it is no longer that way. I tend to speak up when a meal is so very opposite to what I expected, what I ordered, and what I am paying for. I didn't this evening because we were with friends, and their company and an attentive server helped redeem the bad meal. But I will never eat there again. Red Lobster just overpriced and underdelivered themselves out of two longtime,...
Read moreMy husband got the create your own lobster feast and enjoyed it. My daughter got chicken, oranges, and broccoli added on. My son got the sirloin and I ordered fillet mignon. My sons sirloin was so bad, it wasn't that it wasn't cooked correctly just a really awful piece of meat, so bad I could barely cut it. I took a bite to show him it was good, and had to immediately spit it into the napkin. I ended up giving him my fillet (which was edible, but zero flavor, quite possibly the worst steak I've ever tasted other than sons which we saved to see if the dog would eat it) My daughter, my hubby, and myself all had sides of broccoli that was so tough we couldn't chew it. So in the end the bill was $120 before tip and I left without eating anything, the other 3 members of my family ate parts of their meals (all excluding the broccoli) We didn't complain, I felt our waitress was really nice, but she never asked if the food was good even though all the plates with the exception of my husbands were still full of food when we left. Bottom line is Red Lobster should just stick to seafood, and maybe not overcharge so much for non seafood meals considering Mcdonalds would've been a step up from what...
