IHOP — Restaurant in Agoura Hills

The food at IHOP here in Agoura Hills, on Kanan Road, always hits the sweet spot for me. This is the location I used to come to for so many Sunday breakfasts with my family when I was growing up in Agoura Hills. Going back now, even though I no longer live in the area, kind of feels like coming home. When I was younger, I was all about the pancakes with strawberries and bananas, but these days I'm more into the Chicken Fajita Omelette because that's my go-to breakfast at IHOP. This time, I ordered the chicken fajita omelette with no tomatoes (of course). For my side, I sometimes get toast, but this time I went with hash browns and a side of ranch. My son got the Happy Face chocolate chip pancake topped with strawberries and whipped cream to make the smile, along with two scrambled eggs. As for my drink, I went with coffee over ice. I don't like my coffee too sweet, so I just add a couple creamers with no sugar. The service here is always top-notch. If you need anything, just ask your server and they're always happy to help. I've never had a single issue with the service at this location. The ambience is what you'd expect from a family-friendly breakfast spot and it also it looks like any other IHOP, but because it's in Agoura Hills, it has a slightly nicer feel. Would I recommend this IHOP to anyone? Absolutely 100%. I'm pretty sure they're open 24 hours, though these days I'm never awake early enough to get there before 9 AM (especially now that I have kids). I'll definitely keep coming back to this IHOP because it feels like my home away from home and brings back great breakfast memories...

CARELESS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went to enjoy breakfast with my family and we all had to walk away with empty stomach after 40 mins of wait time and bad customer service.

I never go back to spend a dime to places that doesn't care for a good customer service.

We visit this place today and it was not busy for a holiday weekend. Unfortunately, our waitress was careless and lack of customer service experience. We walk in and got a table right away, the waitress provided the menu and walk away -I had no chance to ask for coffee and she walk away without asking if we wanted something to drink (as usual as a win, win bussiness practice). She came back to offer drinks 10 mins after, we were ready even to order our meals. -She came back with drinks, but no utensils to stir our coffee or a straw for our child's drink cup. I waited and then realized she was already taking care another table, I got up to request what was needed like utensils to stir our coffee and finally take a sip to enjoy our drinks. As I mentioned, the place was not full and after 40 minutes of waiting for our meals, we had to request our ticket for the drinks and walk away, extremely disappointed of that place. They lost a...

My dad, my bro, and I waited to be sat for about 5 min. Then the server saw us and nodded towards the booth where we should sit. We sat for a while til the same server came and took both drink and food order both at once. My bro got his food first. Then they brought out a wrong order for my dad. I waited an additio al time til my food was ready. By this time my brother was just about done with his food. We had to ask for place settings, refills, and syrup since the containers were empty. Funny enough, he brought the check promptly. When we were leaving we asked for a togo box. The server aknowledged the request, continued to bus 3 tables, took the dishes to the back, stayed back there for a few minutes before returning to the front of the restaurant to grab the togo box.
