El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Agoura Hills

My wife and I were starving and we saw El Pollo loco off the freeway and decided to pull up. My lady said "I haven't been to El Pollo Loco in forever" then I asked her "are you down to eat there today?" I asked her because she usually doesn't like to eat fast food and she rather eat at home or somewhere more organic or fresh but honestly the food at El Pollo Loco seems pretty fresh. It's not like Taco Bell or Del Taco, there is something about it that feels special... It feels better and not so artificial in other words. Anyways, I had the chicken bowl and 3 chicken tacos, (I was starving) and the Mrs. had a Chicken Tostada Salad. She also ordered a Mac and Cheese side. The woman employee was a sweetheart and the service was great. We ate it all and were super full. We fell into a food coma and had to travel down the 101 in traffic all the way back to West Hollywood. At one point I realized I ate way too much and wasn't sure if I was going to keep my dinner down but I thought about how much money I had just spent (saving for a house) and didn't want to cause a scene and embarrass my woman so I just walked slowly and made it to the car. Finally I felt better after concentrating on other things like the radio and the air conditioning blowing cool air...On our way home my better half wanted to stop at TJ max to get some things for work. We bought more than we expected but I will write about that in another review at another time... this is good for now....Over all, we will definitely go back to The Crazy Chicken (El pollo Loco) but next time we will just stick to 3 tacos each and not over eat like glutinous people. I guess that's what happens when you're comfortable and happy and eat out with your soulmate...

I don't know what's up with the location. I came one day and got a fajita burrito, it was huge. But the meat was wrong, it was spongy, slimey, chewy, gross. I usually get the $5 burrito combo, I know the cheap burrito and the expensive burritos use different meats, white vs dark. So I thought man I haven't had a white meat burrito from EPL in a long time let me treat my self, but it was bad, was it one bad burrito, is the white meat always this gross? IDK...

So I came back today. Gross again, idk what this meat is, it's in blocks, slimy, chewy, gross. I added some pics.

Two times I came and both times it was gross, not coming back here. The EPL close to my house does not have this problem they have good meat. I go to EPL alot, this is the only one that I have seen with this gross meat problem. I drive 1.5 to 2 hours to get home, this spot was convenient because it's halfway home, but it's gross, if I want EPL I'll just wait until I get home, ill be extra hungry!

They asked me to contact them, so I did, lets see...

Came in here on 4/25/19 at approximately 11:15am the lines were long so I placed my order in the new kiosk to avoid the lines.. long story short the whole line got there order before me. As I was inquiring about my order to the manager she Implied she didnt know and pointed to the table and said look that orders been there forever, then goes to the bag and pull out a burrito and hands it to me in my hands no tray bag or anything!!! I was so furious after taking so long that's how I was being served. I instantly asked for a refund, she began saying racial slurs in Spanish. Very rude and disrespectful manager* BEWARE NEXT TIME** El Pollo loco if you read this, I hope something gets done.. that is no way to treat anyone customer or not. Very disappointed to never eat at another El...
