DO NOT BUY THE “REWORKED” JEWELRY
I have lived in Agoura, and have been coming to this store since I was a kid. I love the unique things they have and the aesthetic- but I don’t love the fake jewelry marketed as “reworked/refurbished” when it is WORSE quality than something I could pickup for under $50 at target.
I took my friend who was visiting from out of town, and she fell in love with a pair of reworked channel earrings from inside the glass case. They were probably around $150. She purchased them, and then gets me a $190 necklace- made from the same woman (they have someone who makes these pieces and then they sell them at their store) and the second we get back and she takes them out of the box, the little channel emblem logo on the earrings falls right off, like it wasn’t even glued on. We went in December, and now I am noticing that my necklace is tarnishing- I only wear it for short periods of time and never in the shower/swimming/etc. Just so disappointed because it was a bigger purchase for us and the salesperson made it seem like it was a high quality product (so did...
Read moreI've been shopping in this location for 40 years (RIP goodwill where i once thrifted a guess denim jacket) and on each return visit the number of new vendors has increased. The shop has now expanded into an adjacent space but all of that is new items. I would say there are no actual antiques in this location and there are perhaps less than 10 vintage vendors. Everything else is new home decor. The prices on vintage items have also increased probably because the space rental is higher due to greater profits in the new product booths. It is a real shame because this is the last of the vintage shops in this mall. I don't know that this will be a "must visit" anymore when I return home which...
Read moredon't come here if you're looking for antiques. barely a quarter of the merchandise was old and everything else is something you would find at Ross or TJ Maxx at double/triple the price. but what irked me the most is the blatant assumptions the employees make here. i had three different people follow me throughout the store. a woman was keeping an eye on me through a mirror at some point and it genuinely felt like they assume i wasn't going to pay anything or just steal. maybe it was because im young and brown?? who knows. anyways, don't shop here if you're bipoc, they'll follow you around the store and give you bad service at...
