We certainly did not have the experience we were expecting based on reviews. We sat down with one other 3 top in the entire place. We were a party of 4. The server immediately gave the vibe that she was annoyed we were there. It was 1904, they close at 2000. We ordered and waited. And waited and waited. The food arrived at 1957. Nearly an hour later for 3 burgers and a sandwich!! My food disappointment began with the sad serving of crinkle cut French fries. A recent review said the fries were hand cut. They arenât. But I like crinkle cut⊠I just donât like crinkle cut pieces! There wasnât as evidenced by my pic, a single fry over 2â long. Fries donât come with burgers- they are extra. My next disappointment ( along with the rest of the table) was the small burgers and completely unseasoned meat. Not a drop of salt. Blandest burger ever. Mine was supposed to have Gouda, a fried green tomato and remoulade . The tomato was the butt end, sliced super thin and tiny. There wasnât any discernible remoulade and I looked. Oh haha almost forgot the grilled onions because like everything else it was virtually non-existent. I paid about $20 for that plus a generous 20% tip for lackluster service. The atmosphere was fine and the place looked clean. Someone else in our party ordered chili cheese fries that should have just been called chili fries . The cheese was a mere pathetic sprinkle. There wonât be a return...
Read moreWe tried this place out one night because we heard the burgers here were great. We ordered take out, and got home. First bite we discovered there were diced onions all in the cheese (we ordered no onions). If you don't like onions on your burger, then you know the pain and disappointment of finding them all over the cheese of your burger. Our other burger came out just fine though, so we figured it was just a mistake.
Still, the burgers were good minus the onions, can't deny it. So, we tried them out again later that week. Thinking the onions were a fluke. We did take out again, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (no onions) and my fiancé got a plain cheeseburger. Got home, the bacon's missing, and while I'm expressing my (further) disappointment, my fiancé takes her first bite, and what did she find? Onions, man. More onions.
Four burgers, two different nights. One out of four came out as ordered. They're great burgers, just don't be too picky...
Read moreCity Billiards is an all-time favorite. They have some of the best hotdogs and hamburgers in town. If you have not been there you need to stop by and support the small local eatery. It is kind of found off the beaten path, a little bit to the hustle in the bustle of town, but itâs actually only about 100 extra steps so donât be lazy. Take the extra steps go eat a good hamburger french fries fried green tomatoes, mozzarella cheese sticks anything you want! If youâre down to get a little crazy, they have a couple pool tables in the back a few TVs playing miscellaneous shows and some music. they have a nice big bar where you and your friends and your family could sit and eat some good food. They are some good friends of mine but at this place was terrible. I would let them know but because my reviews have weight and this one deserves five stars...
