What makes this place even more special is its long-standing role in shaping and supporting the growth of this community. Whether you're new to the area or have been around for a while, you can feel the legacy of care and dedication that continues to shape this community for the better. I’m grateful to have experienced it and look forward to returning again.

Long awaited museum is in town now ! Friendly and knowledgeable staff will greet you ! History, technology, nations pride, community cause and all good things are packed and nicely laid out - even the rest room is filled with knowledge🙂 ! Though it's a makeshift there's enough to learn and experience !!

Small museum, but packed with so many interesting facts. Our docent retired from the SRS after 37 years of service, and was wonderful. If you are in town, stop in for a visit! Currently there is no gift shop, there just isn't room. Located within a historic building.

As a visitor who grew up in the former Eastern Bloc, specifically aligned with the Soviet Union during the Cold War era, my experience at the SRS Museum in the United States was both poignant and enlightening. The recreation of Cold War-era settings, such as bunkers, was particularly immersive. The attention to detail in replicating these spaces contributed to a more vivid and emotional connection with the past. The museum's commitment to education was evident throughout the visit. The inclusion of firsthand accounts, oral histories, and multimedia installations further enhanced the immersive nature of the exhibits. One aspect that stood out was the fact of the tour was conducted by two wonderful young gentlemen. Their interest and passion for the subject was remarkable and the museum’s leadership should be praised for finding and employing such knowledgeable tour guides. They were about the same age now as I was when I went through as a firsthand experience of living behind the “iron curtain”. Back in the late 1980s for me it was truly impossible to even imagine that I would be in the USA much less than within a 30-minute drive to the SRS. It was surreal. In conclusion, the SRS Museum in the United States is a commendable testament to the collaborative efforts of historians, curators, and educators in preserving the memory of a critical period in world history. As a visitor from the former Eastern Bloc, it served as a platform for reflection, fostering a deeper understanding of the shared human experiences that transcended ideological boundaries during...

The Museum is simple and small. It has good information, but not much of valuable displays. Mostly reading information and pictures about the history of SRP with one interactive video station. However, too much to read; it would be best to enhance and abbreviate/condense the reading material by introducing more interactive videos, movies and shorter descriptions. The museum was interesting to me, but I could see that it...

This museum is very informative on the development of the Savannah River Site and how the Site has had an impact on the area and the world. There is no fee to enter, but they gladly accept donations. There are also several permanent displays and several more rotating displays, so come back to visit frequently and you might be surprised by what you learn! The people working the museum have always been friendly and...
