Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Aiken County

I'm not posting as a food critic, but a former employee. It was a fun place to work, but it was very fast paced. I got on well with most of the people there, although there were some people there that were overly vulgar, and had an obsession with race and ethnicity. Eventually, it got to the point where it was a little Draconian with terms of what you could and could not do. When I was hired, one of the terms of me working there was that I would not be scheduled to work on Sunday morning, and of course, I was. I was also never actually told where to find the schedule, so it was hit or miss on whether or not I was supposed to work, usually I just text messaged someone. The scheduling was never consistent, which with me is a problem, given that one of my family members is disabled. Having said that, I never really had a problem with the service there, because I did eat there, and most of the things were fine. Still wish they would send me my income tax information, which I never got in spite of it being well past the legal date for them to send it. Now whatever criticisms I have, a lot of the people that are in charge, are very nice people, and very hardworking, and very honest people. I really did like a lot of them. But working there when you're almost 30 years old, and being treated like a teenager, it just isn't worth it. God bless everyone there though, I really hope that location does very well. This place deserves no stars . So I went through the drive-through tonight. I placed my order. I was asking for the peanut butter parfait. As I was placing my order, I couldn't remember the name. I was trying to tell the cashier what I wanted. She was rude, saying we don't do that. When I got to the window, I had remembered the name. I added it to my order. I seemed to have been bothering the cashier, and she seemed upset that I remembered the name of the ice cream and had it added. When I got home, the ice cream had salt added. The salt was overwhelming, like salt had been poured into the ice cream to the point that it wasn't edible. Why was so much salt poured into the one ice cream that was added to the order, and the other ice creams that were ordered didn't have salt in them? I won't ever visit this place again. Back in August, I tried to place an order for an ice cream birthday cake. I was told that I would have to call back. I called back, then was told I would have to call back and place the order with the manager. The third time, the phone was placed on the counter and left there. Let me Start off with the good here. The good about this place is that it is very clean and service if usually fast depending on customer volume. However now for the bad. You order something and pay for it and it isn't what you order. I order a chocolate sundae with hot fudge and i got vanilla sundae with hot fudge and chocolate syrup. When I told them of the wrong order they informed me that their chocolate machine was down for the night. People like Chocolate ice cream after 8pm and not just before. This isn't the first but the second time this has happened to me. So if you like Chocolate ice cream don't go here after 8pm because you won't get it. Very disatisfied. Now only if there was a Carvel around here I would go there all the time because better tasting ice cream anyways or even a Friendly. I think I will try Pink dipper...
