My first time in years and 2nd total at a Firehouse and probably last, 3/12 between 15:00-15:45. Maybe fewer new customers is the goal. The woman who took my order was short and hurried. She asked my order while i was reading the menu. I asked how much the cajun mayo tastes like regular mayo, and instead of offering to put it on the side or a side to taste test, she was just like “if i don’t like mayo i just wouldn’t get it.” i asked what are possible sides for a combo and if i can get the advertised fries on a combo, and she didn’t list them or point to their location on the menu but just said “cookie, brownie, fries anything.” i found out later other sides include mac n cheese among others. she was zooming out the door at the same time the payment pinged through without offering a receipt or a “thanks” or “have a good day.” i had only those 2 questions, didn’t take long to decide on anything, and there were no customers behind me. if neutral customer service was that much of a problem, someone else should’ve taken my order so she could just leave. while waiting, a man with his son told another employee the same lady “was so rude” he didn’t get to order everything he needed. my only positive interaction was with a younger lady making the sub. i asked if i can have the cajun mayo on the side because i might end up liking it. she was polite and agreed—no irritation involved. she clearly doesn’t see customers as a pest. i did turn out to like the cajun mayo, so this young lady saved my sandwich. the sandwich was not good enough to pay justify $19 and change for this bad experience. i should’ve read reviews before coming here on a whim. it was also smoky like others said, which i...
Read moreFirehouse subs on Walton way Had subpar service no one in the restaurant seemed interested in resolving the issue. It was all about a cookie that for whatever reason was not added to my mobile order. I inquired to two people in the front one young lady tried to get an answer from 2 of her coworkers and the bright skinned guy responded "no I didn't cash her order out, but it needs to be fixed" the girl with the burgandy ponytail said to me, "of it ain't on the receipt it ain't nothin' we can do about it".
I presumed that there was not a manager on duty to make the "give the customer the cookie decision" so I left without my cookie.
An hour later I received a call from a regional manager after I returned to work expressing how sorry she was etc. ....I advised her that this is the second time that I had recieved below average service from Firehouse. Once at the location on Knox Ave in North Augusta, I told her I thought it was a fluke so I didn't do a review and then here at the Walton Way location. I asked was there a way to transfer my 5000 points because If this is the way rewards members or any one is treated I have no interest in patronizing firehouse any longer.
There are many other choices and restaurants that I can patronize that are customer observant...
Read moreI waited at the ordering area/register for several minutes while a Firehouse Subs employee stood there LITERALLY with his arms cross and back turned to me while taking short glances at me to see if I was still there. I wasn't sure if he was being trained and waiting on someone or what? I don't know what this guys problem was? Maybe its because I'm white and had something against me???... Reguardless he had no interest in taking my order. I was seconds away from walking out the door and leaving when another firehouse employee noticed me standing there being ignored when he and the other employee argued about taking my order and he rolled his eyes and very rudely took my order. A black guy walked in and this same employee took his order right away? I don't get it, I was very nice and respectful even after being ignored... but afterwards, I was so disgusted with how I was treated I didn't eat the food I ordered. No telling what...
