New China Buffet — Restaurant in Aiken County

My first and last visit to this restaurant.... Food isn't bad, but took a long time to get my drink refilled, and it's odd there is no music nor sound from the tv so the place is awkwardly quite and then when I went up front to pay there is a young kid standing behind the counter, he is opening take menus and laying them on the counter, he looked up at me and went back to his work, as I stood there waiting 2 female employees came up, one dropped off a check with cash to the young boy, no one spoke to me... I'm looking around to figure out how to pay and I see the large "tank" in the front of the store isn't just a display but there are a few turtles walking around in it... Another couple comes up to pay, asks me if they are suppose to pay here I told them I didn't know, I'd been standing there 2 or 3 minutes now, the kid still unfolding menus glancing at me. One of the ladies comes back up and asked what I needed... I told her I want to pay... She said "you haven't pay?" Which I replied that I'd been standing there trying to pay, she speaks with the boy and then has him run my credit card... Very awkward and uncomfortable vibe in this place, I will not be coming back... Customer service seems to be lacking in so many...

You won't find a restaurant with worse service than this one. We went at 6 pm on a Friday and they were not busy at all. Maybe three tables total. We were prompted seated at one table but when we returned from the buffet, our drinks were at another table. The buffet had a decent selection but nothing looked too fresh. I think only the rice and broccoli chicken were replenished while we were there. The sushi looked like it had been sitting out for hours and only four pieces were left. They never brought out more. We both had water and only got a total of two refills. We were basically ignored after the first refill. We were never asked if we needed anything despite hovering around the buffet and coming back empty handed multiple times. Even when they brought out the check, we still did not get refills. Once we were ready to pay, we had to go to the the front and wait for several minutes to check out. There was no line. The three employees were clearly seated together doing nothing. Once one came to check us out, nothing was said. Seems odd that this place is able to stay in business. Definitely not worth $10 per person. I won't be back....

I was very disappointed today. My family and I was told when we called that the buffet price was $6.95, but when we got to the place, it was totally the opposite! The waitress gave us our drinks, I ordered water with lemon, my brother received lemon inside his water, I didn't. The cashier was very disrespectful, unprofessional! He was talking to other customers about us, "saying if we wanted to pay for something cheap, we should've went to Mexican restaurant ". I felt very unwanted and like I'm back in the slavery days again. Whatever happened to FREEDOM?! this place I will never go to ever again. For the cashier being rude and unprofessional, he needs to go to a professional restaurant class and learn how to talk to customers, instead of criticism. Food wasn't good at all for that price. I didn't know restaurants goes by height, instead of age. I had 3 children with me that were under that age of 13. They were charge as an adult for their height. VERY DISAPPOINTED !
