Five stars for crispy okra dreams and boba courage!
Dropped into Hibachi & Wings in Aiken for a quick lunch, and it turned into a full-blown food affair. I ordered the fried shrimp basket with a side of fried okra—and let me just say, as someone who loves fried okra but is constantly betrayed by soggy imposters, this place nailed it. Perfectly crispy, golden little bites that made me feel like I was being personally blessed by the Southern food gods. They gave me enough to feed three people... but I’m not one to waste miracles. I ate them all. No regrets. Zero shame.
The shrimp was hot, fresh, and seasoned just right—like it knew it had something to prove and succeeded. The staff? Super chill.
And then, in a shocking plot twist, I tried boba milk tea for the first time—cappuccino flavored. I expected regret in a cup. I got light, refreshing, and strangely addictive instead. 10/10 would chew tapioca balls again.
If you're in Aiken and want something fast, friendly, and fried to perfection, Hibachi & Wings is worth a stop. And try the boba—you might...
Read moreWe are really excited to try this place out because we have been wanting a good boba spot in aiken. So far we have only tried the boba tea and the tapioca pearls were a little undercooked with the center being chewy instead of soft. Hopefully they will improve their craft and get better. The milk tea is delicious! I will update my review when we order food from here as well!
Update: We ordered dinner here last night and will say that it was mediocre for the price. For two people getting a chicken teriyaki bowl and a steak teriyaki bowl + boba tea was $40. The chicken and steak were alright but not worth the price. It’s not something that makes me say “wow that was amazing.” The boba was a lot better this evening and cooked perfectly. While we probably won’t be returning for the food, we will be by anytime we crave boba. Also the place smelled like cigarette smoke which made my husband and I feel sick. I do hope that they improve and are successful. Again the food is just too simple tasting for that price. What we got and how it tasted was worth closer...
Read moreI haven’t had any issues and I visit at least 3-4 times a month, sometimes 2 days in one week. Good price for wings compared to many other places and the wings or cooked like I love them (no soggy chicken skin) where I don’t even have to ask to be cooked hard. Tried the hibachi meal once and it was really good. Too much to eat in one sitting or day for me so absolutely no complaints. Some days they are pretty busy and I have to wait for my order and some days I’m in and out. I plan to try the Boba Mill Tea next visit and hope it’s as good as the food. OAN:Per one of SCDA Food Inspector, friend and former coworker, the restaurant is really good at having the kitchen clean. I know that can change at anytime but for now they are my go to for wings & when anyone ask me about wings this is the only place I mentioned. Good prices, decent quantity and...
