Okay, I do like that this location is open 24hrs, and the staff is always nice in my experience anyway, others claim different. This is the only saving grace of this location. There are some serious problems they need to address.
The food is rarely actually hot. Most of the time by the time it gets to you, it's slightly above luke warm. Which is mind blowing because the wait in the drive thru is substantial, even if it's empty. So you would expect fresh and hot. I have no issue at all with waiting a little longer for fresh hot food. But it seems like they cook the food super fast and then wait for an extra 5+ min before handing it out. Or it's already cooked and they take forever to assemble and bag it.
The breakfast sandwiches?.. Just don't do it. First off I never even knew zips had a breakfast menu, so I tried their "ultimate breakfast sandwich?" All I remember is it was on a croissant. Greasy as heck. I wouldn't even care about the grease if it was good but no. The most bland breakfast sandwich I've ever had, even the sausage was bland. How? I have no idea. I threw it away and went to Jack in the Box.
The 3 piece chicken and fries is usually a great deal on weekends at all other locations. 3 good size strips over a nice big boat full of fries and always hot for 5 bucks. NOT HERE, you get 3 or 4 chicken nugget sized "strips" and a small fry. For 5 dollars. What a rip off!
They are slipping to Mcdonald's quality and charging you 2 or 3 times the price! I live in Airway, and I drive into Spokane if I want Zip's. The extra cost in gas is worth hot food and decent portions for the same price.
I love Zip's, I have enjoyed it since I was a kid. I know times are tough right now, but less profit and happy customers gets you more customers and as a result more profit! If this location keeps on this track, I have no doubt they will be closing their doors. Management needs to get it together. Maybe I'll go back after COVID and see if things...
Read moreI've been twice now to start my day with Zips and surprisingly to me, their breakfast is satisfyingly amazing! Tastes wonderful. The hashbrowns and country gravy are a personal favorite. The food is always hot! Not to mention they have competitive great prices and serving sizes are on the larger side and won't leave you hungry. Would have rated 5stars except for the fact their breakfast menu isn't even advertised on the drive thru board at the restaurant... Crazy I know?!?!? Hard to sell something that isn't advertised because many people won't even know they have it. Their online menu shows all the breakfast meal plates they offer, such as country fried steak and eggs plate, however, if you go through the drive thru it's not on the menu at all.....makes no sense to me why the menu at the restaurant wouldn't advertise the combo meals only side orders of a few select items. SO.....with that being said, before going, make sure to pull up the full menu online to decide what you want ahead of time.... And yes just trust me on this one, they really do have it even though its not listed on store menu, all you gotta do is ask! Its definitely worth the visit one morning for a good meal for...
Read moreI'd give them a zero if I had the option. All lit up and drive through menu board lit up too. Plus, breakfast menu shows available after 4am. I stopped to order at drive through menu board and no one ever took my order, so, I pulled up to the window and the 2 men inside purposely and intentionally ignored me. I finally left. When I came back around the motion reader flashed briefly, "closed," but then went back to listing their specials or what ever, as if they're open.
They need to update their info online because they were NOT Open at 4:45 this morning as their site indicated (and their menu board)
More importantly... they were extremely rude by not acknowleging me while I sat in the drive through (at the ordering board or at the drive through window.)
They and Jack in the Box both failed MISERABLY this morning when they advertise open online, and keep the Neon signs looking as if they're open, but they not "open for business".
I Won't be coming back any time soon you big boys with your cracks showing... (pull up your pants in public, even if its just showing to people in your drive through...
