Fattys — Restaurant in Akron

Updated as of 6/11/23 they built a custom sandwich that I absolutely fell in love with, I had quite possibly the best meatball sub of my life paired with one of the most delicious combinations of flavorings on fries, I don’t know what it is, but it feels like this place is doing food like a science. Like he is actually going out of his way to pair flavorings together. This is not just a restaurant, he owns other restaurant as well, this is an experience and I’m happy it’s here. Prices are actually affordable, I don’t spend $100 feeding my family of seven- And he doesn’t put other places down. I have heard him talk good about other restaurants I have seen how he treats his customers firsthand, I have seen the care he put into the finished product overall satisfied with everything they stand for here he’s constantly improving the menu, constantly. There’s always something new. My very picky, brother finds things on the menu that he actually likes, my wife, my daughter, everybody in the family never usually agrees on one place. They do now. Also, seriously, you’ve got to try this place.

I cannot fully describe in words how good this food is. I live in a city with 20+ places to eat and I am beyond excited to welcome Fattys cheese steaks n wingzs into the family’s take out selection, as I was BEYOND impressed with literally everything I’ve tried so far.

Fried chicken - just when I thought Barberton didn’t need anywhere else that does chicken, I tasted their chicken and immediately decided it deserves to stay!!!

The Mozzy- I have tried the Mozzy burger, he has broken this down to a science and layers the cheese in a specific way that creates the flavor that is, The Mozzy. Uses real mozzarella and it so SO good!!

The Double burger w/ fries for $4- First off, this beats Literally anything you’ll get from any fast food restaurant for $4!!! Come here and get a burger and fries for $4 that beyond fills you up. Have turned on as many people as possible to this because I am In actual disbelief at how good these prices are! Eating out normally breaks me! But not here!!

The Fried Shrimp Dinner + Cheddar Bombers + Fried Okra - It has been a very long time since I have had such good seafood. I’m not hating on anyone’s food, I just haven’t been able to eat out much recently and this was a reallllllly delicious shrimp dinner that I WILL be ordering again! Convinced a coworker to try the same meal and he was NOT disappointed 🤤

Steak and Potatoe bowl- O M G!!!!! You have NO idea what you are missing here!!! If you need a good Serving of protein, or you want to recover from a workout or need a really good lunch or dinner for work, or if you really want to eat good and be stuffed, order this bad boy right here. I did not regret it one bit, I only regret not savoring it for longer.

I cannot wait to see what I get to try next! Nothing here is a lid advertisement, this was all out of pocket and by choice and I will continue adding to this as I try different menu items. Next on my list, I really want to try the cream cheese bonbers and I want to order the $20 family meal deal! Oh and he is supposed to be having Mac and cheese this up coming week that is HIGHLY sought after 🤤 so, I will update everyone on that as well. TJ (the chef) is very nice, polite, kind, honest, and absolutely loves what he does. Genuinely he holds tastings to advance new menu items, and is constantly improving and adjusting the flow of everything as well.

Fatty's located inside Magic Mark Drive thru on Wooster Rd, Barberton Oh. This husband and wife team are wonderful human beings and absolutely the best soul food chefs that I didn't cook myself, I've EVER had. Besides their humble deamors, great customer service, and clearly the love between these two, the food couldn't possibly be anything but the best. Cooking should be a labor of love, and you certainly can taste the love in this food.

I ordered the Friday sampler White fish Wings Shrimp all cooked to order fresh, well seasoned, hot,delicious.

I also order side dishes: Collard greens - deliciously seasoned Black-eyed peas all I needed was cornbread Sweet potatos - melted in my mouth. The potatoes had delightful after taste, which caused me to close my eyes, trying to dysifer the ingredients and enjoy the sweet buttery aroma in my mouth. And by a divine accident, I ended up with mac and cheese, which is also amazing.

This is a hidden gem, my second visit, and certainly won't be my last.

Highly highly highly recommend this establishment. Great people with amazing food cooked with love, good portions all for a reasonable...

Fatty’s is located inside of the Magic City Drive through on Wooster Rd. The food is good, it’s not great but it’s not bad either, my call doesn’t count because all I’ve tried is a burger and like I said, it wasn’t great but wasn’t bad, will I order another burger from there? Absolutely not…I will try some of his other menu options, he has a big variety, I included a picture of his menu along with his prices. One good thing is they will deliver for a small fee, we ordered it from work one evening (I work 2nd shift) and that’s when I ordered the burger, some of the guys who ordered had different sandwiches, one had what looked like wings, there was no complaints out of them so maybe it was just my burger, I believe it was called the “Fatty Burger”, all I can say is it was...
