The restaurant is very nice. From the hostess to our server, we experienced a friendly, engaging staff! We had the caprese appetizer that included mozzarella, tomatoes and basil — all extremely fresh! I had the fish, which was cod that included blistered tomatoes, Kalamata olives, fresh lemon and capers. Wonderful combination but honestly lacked seasoning. Conversely, my husband had the lamb chops and he was wildly impressed. For the sides we shared the roasted vegetables, we also both agreed were excellent. However, we also agreed the polenta was terribly bland. They serve bread with olive oil and a balsamic reduction, for dipping. The bread was fresh but I do wish they had provided cracked black pepper for the olive oil. The other thing noticeably missing was salt and pepper on the table that honestly I’ve never added to a restaurant meal but would have tonight. For dessert we had tiramisu, and both enjoyed that. I had an espresso martini, which was perfect and also had espresso following dinner—also very good. Before gratuity, we spent $75 per person — with gratuity, we landed at $185. Overall, it was good but honestly, I wouldn’t return. It was simply inconsistent and not authentic Italian — when you’re Italian, you just know.

We were celebrating the letter "P" as a family and decided to eat pasta dressed as pirates. Our goal for these outings is to try a restaurant that is new to us. Amici Trattoria was our pick for a Saturday lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Everyone tried a different item from the menu. Spinach Ravioli with Shrimp was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of tomato garlic sauce. This classic Italian dish had a pleasing taste. Lasagna tasted freshly made. The ratio between the noodles, sauce and meat was executed to perfection. I would describe the lasagna as hearty and comforting. Our 8 year old requested a specialty item and they were able to accommodate his request. Bow-tie pasta with red sauce. The sauce was a little heavy handed on the red pepper making it spicy for him. Of course, we had to try desert... The lady fingers in the Tiramisu was perfectly soaked in the espresso. The mascarpone was rich and creamy. The layers complimented one another beautifully giving a slightly bitter and sweet flavor profile. Panna cotta was silky smooth and just firm enough to hold its shape. Drizzled with a raspberry sauce and lemon zest. Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY!!!!!

Domke Market is such a great little spot. Somehow if never noticed it until tonight. I'm going to be coming back soon. They have a huge selection of wines, bubbly, beer, cheeses, chocolates and so much more. What I really loved was how they welcome you to bring in your own food from wherever you love and and hang out in their cute shop. They have plenty of tables and chairs for the whole gang. The prices are great they range from low to high so anyone should be able to find a perfect fit. THEY DO NOT CHARGE AN UNCORKING FEE. Pick up some tacos from Villa Del Rey Cocina Mexicana just a few doors down and enjoy a bottle of wine or beer in this sweet shop, you'll love it.

I was super hopeful trying this restaurant for the first time. The person I was going with had been before and was happy with their experience. The lady who seated me was friendly but seemed a little frazzled. There were only 2 other tables at the time and some folks at the bar. Our server was friendly but also seemed a little scattered. So I am not sure if there was something going on in the back or not. We ordered the arancini and it was fine… the sauce that accompanied was really good and had a kick. Then we split the wedge salad and it was like a wet mess. The lettuce was super wet and then covered in a dressing with absolutely no flavor. How can you screw up a wedge salad? I ordered the lasagna and was thrown off by how much grease it had at the bottom of the bowl. It looked really good and rich but had very little flavor. I requested a side of the sauce I mentioned earlier and that helped some. The highlights were the olive bread and the sauce served with the arancini. The lows were, the rest of the food and how slow the service was. The restaurant did get busier and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Having been a server and a manager at a restaurant, I hope the staff gets some more training or hire more servers. If this place is promoting fine dining then the hostess should be a little more put together…not wearing tennis shoes and jeans. I will say the prices were reasonable for mediocre food. I hope they tweak what they have started and really try to step it up. I would love to see...

I hate to leave a bad review but my experience at amici was far below what I would expect from any Italian restaurant, I will say the bread is good but that’s about it, the arancini were flavorless and the “carbonara” was disgusting to be frank. The sauce was just straight up egg yolk, it’s supposed to be a thick silky sauce made by combing Parmesan and egg yolks and lightly cooked by the hot pasta but what was served was pasta with egg yolks on it sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, there was no cheese in the actual sauce, literally just runny uncooked egg yolks, it was gross. I’m also 99% sure they used barilla pasta. Barilla pasta is fine but for an Italian restaurant to be serving that is insane to me, you don’t have to make fresh pasta, although that would be nice, but at least use a higher quality brand. So expensive for the portions especially when you take into account they’re using a cheap bottom of the barrel pasta brand and not even making the dishes correctly. My boyfriend got the gnocchi and the meat sauce was flavorless and again, low quality store bought gnocchi, tough, not soft and pillowy like it should be. I guess they can get away with this bc there’s no good Italian places down here and people don’t know what they’re missing but I was incredibly disappointed. Also, the restaurant as a whole had a very stiff uncomfortable vibe, our server was sweet but everyone else we dealt with were high strung and it felt overbearing and stressful. I certainly won’t...

I really wanted to like this place and there were some highlights, but there were also several issues.

First off, service was incredibly slow despite it not being that busy. Also some of the serving staff couldn’t even answer basic question about the menu.

Also not to be some uncultured swine, but know your audience. The menu is needlessly confusing. I’ve eaten in Italy. I get what they are trying to do and it’s kinda neat, but it causes more confusion than needed for English speakers and those not familiar with how restaurants work in Italy.

My fiancé got the carbonara and it literally had scrambled egg pieces in it. That’s not correct carbonara and should have been spotted right away and fixed.

I got the ribeye dish with mushrooms and while the steak actually tasted good and was cooked perfectly, it looked so unappetizing. The sauce and mushrooms were just a dull brown/grey and there was WAY TOO MANY mushrooms. It looked like vomit. Yes it tasted good which is most important, but presentation is also important and it looked VERY unappetizing. I bet most folks would look at that dish and not want it.

Other that they the decor and atmosphere is nice. The tortellini was great. Definitely some high marks but too many issues...
