Mob Boss Pizzeria LLC — Restaurant in Alabama

Well me and my daughter decided to give it a go since we both love pizza. The decor inside made it look like a mob style. It was nice. I'm a gm of a restaurant I get it that it's a new spot. Our server sucked. There was no greeting. It was what can I get you to drink? Not a have you been here before? Or how you doing? My daughter said root beer. No go. Dr. Pepper. No go. She settled for coke. I had water. She made no suggestions and asked if we were ready to order after one minute. I ordered cheese sticks and a medium pizza. Don't see the server for atleast 15 minutes. She finally brings out the cheese sticks. There were only 4 other tables and 3 other servers mind you. They were all broken and the cheese was half gone. She just drops them off and leaves. I had to call another server and ask her if she would eat that and she said no. The server finally comes after another server returned the cheese sticks and says I took care of the cheese sticks for you. Lol I know you did. She did nothing to make up for her mistake or the fact that we had been waiting some time. My daughter finally got a refill after 20 minutes of waiting there. Didn't ask if we wanted something else or anything. Finally brings out the pizza which I can understand takes time. It was a decent tasting pizza. Even my daughter said our server was not doing a good job at all. Needless to say we will not be back after that poor guest service. I'm sure they aren't all like that but she definitely did not make you guys look good in any way shape or form. I usually tip even if the server sucks but tries. She got a dollar. And lost a first time...

I give this place a rating of a maximum of 2. The service was average, and th le atmosphere didnt do anything special for me.

But the reason i give the 2 star rating is because of the food.

I will note, that i got the cheesy garlic bread, which was awesome. I thought that was a really tasty appetizer. But the same cannot be said for the pizza.

I ordered i basic cheese with mushroom pizza. And ill start there. The mushroom quality was okay, but the cheese quality was borderline gross. Extremely greasy, rubbery, and not pleasant. I get pizza is greasy sometimes, but this was beyond acceptable.

Next is the sauce of the pizza. I thought the sauce was way too sweet of a sauce to belong on a pizza. Not enjoyable.

Then the final complaint of the pizza, and honestly imo, the most important aspect of the pizza, and that's the crust. The crust is the same crust style as little caesars and Hungry Howies. I dislike that crust style, feels like sandpaper in my mouth. On top of that, the crust was worse than Little Caesars crust. Which by its own right, is impressive. And the cost of a 1 topping medium pizza of this quality cost me close to $15. That's a robbery.

The cheesy bread really saved this review from being a 1 star.

Im not a picky eater, and Pizza is my absolute favorite food. It takes a lot for me to dislike a pizza.

I will note, im willing to give this place one more try. Maybe the day i went there were issues, maybe someone made a mistake, or otherwise was a reason why the quality wasnt up to par. So maybe in the next 3 months ill give it another try and hopefully be...

Update! We did put the rest of the pizza in the oven. The bottom got extra crispy And the pizza cooked a little longer. It was actually very, very good.

Mob boss pizzeria is located right off of a busy road. It was really easy to find and there is plenty of room for parking.

The atmosphere is pretty cool it Has modern decor that is black and white. It's very similar to a sports bar type vibe. There is a bar with alcohol and they do have TVs.

We Order the pizza fries for an appetizer. The topings are all good but the frys started to get soggy really fast.

The pizza we chose was the mob boss it is essentially a supreme pizza. They didn't have an option for different types of crust. We prefer flat breads and very thin crust pizzas. With all of the vegetable toppings there was a lot of extra water. The pizza was soggy in the middle and the cheese didn't melt all the way. We have brought the rest of it home with us. We are going to try to put it in the oven and crisp it up on the bottom?

It was Sunday, lunch time and they had staff but it took a Long time for drinks and the food. The check and the to go box also.

Pricing was okay... Everything is high right now. So we ordered.... Loaded fries 13.00 Medium pizza 19.99 One glass of water 0.00 One glass of Dr Pepper. 3.50 Our total was 36.49

I think if we went back it would be for a date night. Maybe just to have some drinks? Maybe to watch a game on the tv... They do have a cute little patio.
