As someone who values both taste and nutrition, I was thrilled to find a menu that offered a variety of flavorful options without compromising on healthiness. The menu was thoughtfully crafted, featuring a range of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices alongside traditional Indian dishes.
Now, let's talk about the food! The chicken tikka masala at Ahmed Indian Restaurant deserves special mention. It was a culinary masterpiece that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The succulent pieces of chicken smothered in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce were perfectly balanced in terms of flavor and spice.    Read moreI ordered my food online through the website. Someone then called me to say that an item I ordered wasnât available so they would refund me. I instead asked for an exchange and to be refunded the difference. I asked the girl if she could do this, and she said yes. I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my food, it was ready, so I got it and left. On my way to the car, I realized that my receipt had the old item, so I went back in and asked for a receipt showing that the items had been changed. The girl at the front desk (Melanie) told me that she didnât exchange the items like I requested but instead left the order as is and gave me the replacement item for the same price as the item that was not available which was more expensive. She made it seem like this was what I requested and was VERY RUDE to me. When I tried to ask her why she answered me so harshly. I wasnât rude to her at all even after she was SOOOO DISRESPECTFUL!!! It was clear to me that we had a misunderstanding (although it makes absolutely no sense to me why she thought a customer would ask to be charged a higher price for a cheaper item but hey). But instead of apologizing or just handling the encounter in a professional manner she took one look at me (I am black) and decided to give me attitude because I asked her why she charged me the same price for a different item. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN, and I will warn others not to do so. Some advice, teach Melanie how to treat your customers with respect. This restaurant has so many bad reviews online. I didnât realize that before I ordered but now I know. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! CHECK THE OTHER REVIEWS, YOU HAVE...
Read moreIt's located in a little strip mall next to a 7-11 so you have to actively look for it, but once you get a taste of their food I'm sure you'll be life long fans. Their menu is an excellent highlight of Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
I've only been there a handful of times but each time I've loved everything I've eaten. Their portions are quite big though so I've always gotten at least 2 or 3 meals out of them the next day. If you've never had South Asian food before they have a lunch buffet everyday from 11:30am to 3:30pm at an astounding $8.95 on weekdays. For that price and quality it feels like a king's feast.
Anyway, most of my experience has been during dinner and the service is top class. In particular there's a server named Suman who was always very kind, helpful, and has a great sense of humor. I believe he also makes the various Lassi (think yoghurt smoothie) and they're always the right consistency of not too thick and full of flavor but if I had to pick one the mango lassi is my favorite.
The menu is quite large but I highly recommend the navratna korma which is a creamy vegetable curry that reminded me of my mother's cooking. I also thought the chicken palak was delicious as the meat was tender and if you love spinach this is a winner. Finally, if you love beef anything beef on the menu is perfect. The meat either falls off the bone or the chunks are very generous and always mouthwatering. Beef curry is something everyone should try.
In closing, if you're hungry head to Ahmed's. They are amazing. Actually I should go back and get some biryani. I'm sure...
