We've been going to Mangia since right after they opened by Walmart.. This is hands down our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is amazing, the base menu is simple and satisfying but their specials are one of our favorite reasons we keep coming back. Always different, always amazing.
The staff here is phenomenal as well. We've always had wonderful service, last time we went was shortly after they reopened in their new location, the manager was our server while training a new server and didn't slip a bit. We just went tonight and our server actually recognized us from when we came back at the old location, and was absolutely wonderful. The simple fact that they remember two random customers from probably 6-9 months prior and giving just that sort of attention to detail speaks wonders.
Both times we've gone to the new location the service was outstanding, specials were known right off the bat, recommendations made, even down to asking my wife if she'd like a minor alteration to a drink based on her taste.
The atmosphere of the place is decent and only thing I gotta say is slightly off 5 star. It's a new location so I get still establishing but some of the decor is a bit out of place and our table tonight three chairs were armless and one had arms. Was a little odd but it was just two of us so it didn't matter to us. Also, we had four sets of utensils on our table despite being a two top. But nothing that was overly off putting. Despite some odd decor choices, it's got the feel of upscale fine dining without feeling stuffy. The quality of the restaurant overall is top notch and on par with some of the best in Orlando but it's got a local area vibe that radiates energy and has a real "you're family" classic Italian charm.
If you haven't been here, try it out. If you have, come back and try a new special. Mangia is the sort of place that is worth the drive out to Avalon to try and being here in Avalon lucky to...

It's not every day that you stumble upon a place that leaves you absolutely mesmerized, both by its culinary prowess and the quality of service. On my recent visit to this delightful establishment, I was fortunate enough to experience just that.
I had the pleasure of visiting this place to meet up with friends who had recently moved to the area. Looking for a hearty and welcoming venue, we were not disappointed.
We decided to kick things off with three appetizers - Black Mussels Arabiata, Arancini, and Bruschetta. Each dish was a delight in its own right. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Black Mussels Arabiata. The mussels were cooked to perfection, succulent and tender, but what really took it to the next level was the exquisite sauce. Spicy, tangy, and full of depth - it was a flavor explosion that set the tone for the evening.
The entrées we chose included Parmigiana, Amatriciana, Puttanesca, Spaghetti Vongole, and Veal Marsala. Each dish was a testament to the authenticity and craftsmanship of the chef. It was evident in every bite that great care was taken to maintain the integrity of the traditional recipes.
Accompanying our meal was a beautiful bottle of Falanghina from the Benevento region in Italy. It was the perfect addition to our feast, enhancing the flavors of our meals and offering an additional layer of authenticity to the dining experience.
What truly sealed the deal, however, was the top-notch service. The staff was not only attentive and prompt but also genuinely caring. They made sure our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish.
Given the exceptional food and service, I can't help but award this establishment a well-deserved five stars. This is a restaurant that has truly mastered the art of fine dining and customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable Italian...
Read moreFive stars for above and beyond service, kindness, and engagement from the staff!!! Mangia is a new restaurant located inside The Town Center at Timber Springs. It is open in the previous Lil Anthony spot. Bonus is for us, 3min from our home!! Since we had a party of six, I called to make reservations and to advise that we were celebrating a birthday. I don't think it was needed on a Tuesday night because there really is plenty of seating, but for a weekend, it's best to check. When we arrived, the host greeted us and sat us immediately. The booth they reserved felt tight for us all, so they gave us the option of a big table at the center. Worked perfectly. Our server, Tonino, is excellent. We spoke of our love of a certain restaurant in The Bronx where he lived for a while. He took, well everyone here took really good care of us. Attentive, kind, quick to respond to a request. For our apps, we ordered calmari fritti(fried calamari), delicately breaded, perfectly fried, delicious. Burrata wrapped in prosciutto di parma, creamy cheese, salty prosciutto on a bed of fresh arugula with grated gran Padana, amazing. Entrees: lobster ravioli in vodka sauce, shrimp alfredo, chicken francese, chicken marsala, chicken parmigiana and baked zitti. For dessert, we ordered a tiramisu. It was delicious. ALL of these dishes are great. Marsala did need some salt, but nothing else. With every bite, the quality ingredients and expert cookery shine through. The portions are equally grand. BUT the outstanding dishes of the evening were the lobster ravioli and the shrimp alfredo. The sauces of both of these dishes were the creamiest, velvetiest, most rich I have ever tasted, and the pasta itself must be made in-house because, my Lord, amazing. The birthday girl had leftover fettucine alfredo and the next day, warming it up, not one lump or clump, exactly as the night before. Make your way to...
